But this is the newest pp miniature, and it's a pig woman, that looks like their other pigwomen, and is in full armour. How is she sexualized exactly, I mean honestly they could have done 6 breasts and been more anatomically correct, and they didn't do that. Don't get me wrong. I do like this model. I also like the Farrow Valkyries. They are in full armor. They have musculature needed to be a warrior. She isn't bad in terms of "stop objectifying women" so to speak. It's just Like Mac said. It's not very creative. Granted I think this is the best swap because it wasn't objectified. That's not something you can say about things like the Swamp horror or "Wolf in sheep's clothing".

I don't find this offensive. I DO find it lazy. Gender swapping an existing character is the laziest possible design choice for an 'alt-sculpt.'

The mini-crate lacks focus. Some are female pinups, some are mostly plain male-to-female gender swaps, some are pop culture references. Who do these all appeal to other than a completist or reseller? It's like a bowl of candy that's half Skittles and half M&Ms.
Perhaps it'd help to divide them up into themed "seasons". Like, one season would be pinups, another would be gender swaps, after that pop-cultural references, and so on. That way people could have an idea what they're buying into. It'd also incentivize more-creative themes.

Not very creative? Good! Because their more creative Minicrate stuff has been crap! And the more creative stuff that has not been crap has been "WTF is their ffffuucckkiinngg problem?!?!?" I don't want "unusual" or "imaginative interpretations" of Warmachine characters that will make the guy I'm playing against ask: "Hey Blarg, are you off your meds?" "Um, no, I don't take any prescription medications." "Oh. So, have you started any new meds, then?" I want alternate sculpts of game pieces that I can use in games of Warmachine and not be embarrassed. I'm not looking for "object d'art" from gaming nerds, I want "object d'gaming piece" that I can use. If the female Totem Hunter, Mrs. Walls, and the Farrow Brigand War Valkyrie are not very creative, then by golly send me more phoned in, slackerific, lazy writing, hack-jobs like we have seen as of late. I'll take them! Mountain Queen? How much? Dude Druid Wilder? I can start a Circle army. Rosie the Riveter Field Mechanik Crew Chief? How would the Gobber Grunts react? Koldun Lady (instead of Lord)? Shut up and take my money! Paladin of the Order of the Wall with boobs? (Aka Darton's girlfriend) Hello Faithful Masses! Allegiant of the Order of the Fist with bewbs? (Aka Amon's girlfriend) Sounds like a Faithful Masses double date. Female Convergence of Cyriss... er... oh, nevermind. Kelly Bailoch - take your best shot! Raglady? Yeah, I can wait on that one... While PP stuff is far from the sausage fest that most GW stuff is, I would love to see more female representation in Warmachine. I'm not looking for Kingdom Death here (ugh!) but "Gertrude" the Farrow Brigand War Valkyrie definitely has a place in my Helga and 9 Valkyrie Friends Opera. Now, somebody needs to wake me up when PP comes out with female Doom Reavers. I'm selling body parts when they get released. (Not my own, of course...)

I would be interested to see them tied to fluff a bit more, either by developing minor fluff characters that wouldn't ordinarily get models, giving us more prequel versions and alternate history stuff. Some examples riffing off Blarg's ideas: Female Greylord: I'd love to see one of Karchev's granddaughters following in the family tradition (though she should be a forge seer instead). Add a non-MOW part or two and some battle damage to sell the connection. Kelly Bailoch: I could really go for a female steelhead sniper to make kingmakers an entirely steelhead theme... Duchess of Rags: Crazed llaelese noble in a tattered ballgown. Bonus points if she's a di Martyn and is therefore a shameful part of the royal family. Paladin of the Order of the Wall: Couldn't quite get this one to fit, but it did make me want to see 'Exemplar Seneschal Sofya Skirova.'

well...I don't think they are being pigs or anything. You want miniatures to be attractive and appealing, and pin ups, by their very nature, are typically have tight clothing, or a lack there-of. I don't think they have been egregious in any way with that in this series. Particularly not on a scale like some other companies I have had the displeasure of discovering while looking for alternative warhammer fantasy minis. *shudders* I think calling them pigs is a tad far honestly. Nothing they have released in this series has been overly offensive. I just want them to make something...unique, or creative, or....just something. I think a distinction that often gets missed is that you can have a character design look impressive or attractive without having them be sexualised.

It is the July model - on their site they (now?) have it correct. I also prefer the more "normal" sculpts. The GMCA just looks like a nice miniature and not as dated as the old one (also you usually want 2 of them). I really like the Brigands Mini - I am just not sure if it looks "5$ better" than the normal warlord... Does anyone own the normal miniature and can comment on how it actually looks in reality?

I will throw the old warlord in the trash and replace it with this immediately. That's how it looks. (not really, I'll give it away to someone and buy my brigands for her, but you get the point)

Wow, so much bitterness in this thread! Don’t like the model? Don’t buy it.
As a lover of my Farrow army, this bad ass Female Dog definitely finding a place in my list.
