Hasmal, not too far off in concept from what I run. But you are right, this is a melee vs. melee only sort of list. It's done well against Circle and Khador (Not rockets) in casual play. So if that's all you're looking for... conflictchamber.com/#ca201b_-0taDbfbfeJeJ292929292929aRbeb9b9jXb1Legion Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Oracles of Annihilation (Thagrosh 2) Thagrosh, the Messiah [+25] - Nephilim Bolt Thrower [11] - Nephilim Bolt Thrower [11] - Neraph [12] - Neraph [12] - Shredder [4] - Shredder [4] - Shredder [4] - Shredder [4] - Shredder [4] - Shredder [4] - Typhon [20] Blighted Nyss Sorceress & Hellion [0(6)] The Forsaken [0(4)] The Forsaken [0(4)] Boil Master & Spirit Cauldron [5] Spawning Vessel (min) [5]

I just picked up a Legion lot for pretty cheap and am interested in building Thags2. What are people doing with him? How does he slot into this ADR? Halp a Legion noob? Ever since the thread "ranged list advice" and an eThags game I had the other day, Iv been thinking about what list to run that has ranged game, melee and movement. Last week it resulted in the list below and I feel pretty confident in it: eThags (25 + 75 oracles) 20 typhon 18 carnivean 14 seraph 11 nephilim boltthrower 8 raek 9 BFS 15 farrow briggands 4 farrow briggand UA 0 2x forsaken 1 spellmartyr Briggands are selfsuffucient but play well alongside (defensive use of) the feat as well, which is what the beasts were chosen for too. BFS with a seraph in oracles is the best shard we're gonna get, but I don't know if this lists needs it. Still, it's a second unit, and should thags not want to cast MD the list still has some damage swing. List was build for flexibility and I think it has both that and some punch.

This is far closer to what I would call ideal for Thagrosh2. Flexibility has always served me better with thagrosh2 than any other kind of list with him. A cursory glance at his cards may suggest lesser-spam and melee focus, but I find that just pigeonholes you too much and leaves you too easily exploited.

Lanz, yes, I find him really enjoyable to play this way. Not too sure on BFS though. On the one hand it's a great list and theme for them to be, buton the other hand I wonder if the list needs them and whetherit won't be served better with a naga, 2nd raek or ice witches, and some more spellmartyrs. Any thoughts?

Any thoughts? I would 100% take ice witches over BFS with that kind of Thagrosh2 list. The impact they have on enabling assassinations and/or improving ranged attacks is huge.

Well answers don't come more definite then that ice witches it is. And more martyrs, which is lovely
