I played Crosse2 in pom Llaelese last night. Whilst the choir and arm24 cinerators are good the list is woeful. He really needs a cheap chaff unit to power his guns. I think I'm going to be running him in irregulars for the future. Shame as it only felt a cheap unit away from having real game... Zealots seem great for that role. Lots of bodies, and they bring their own recursion mechanic. Half-way decent ARM after the first one dies, too. so ur plan is to take on teh WHOLE enemy army with 6 pow 11 weapon master attacks at spd 4, some zealot boms, crosse's gun and a battlegroup wid 4 focus to hand out... methinks tis a bad plan

what u do, see is u can protect teh manglers with shield guards and feat and so dey get there and smash anything. teh thron gun mages are for pushes, and pow 16 black pennies from ragman and halberdiers but i am not sold on them. of course, jack marshalling is risky bidness but at least dis army can fight. crosse2 cant in lalalese resistanc

Out of curiosity has anyone tried the crucible guard storm troopers, and possible the Rocketmen with Gastone? Then you could add in the gun mages, and some vanguards and use the pow 14 shooting / ghostly Rocketmen for some janky assassin junk? Also you could make the storm troopers like immune to most kinds of free strikes at Armor 23+boxes. Just a thought, but to be fair I’ve kinda stopped playing mercs :/
