Hey guys,
Looks like we got ourselves a good ol'fashioned alternate model for GMCA!
Her name is Runeball Wizard.

Well, I am already have basic GMCA model and Captain Lynch, so I don't need something exceeding the FA....
At least the model looks cool. It represents a soldier without noticeable dirty sexism. It would be the best female model what have I seen on PP related miniatures despite she is released on mini-crate, and also high quality model of its own as well. Only if I didn't have Lynch or basic GMCA....

That's a nice model. Clearly female but not overdone.

Also, it would be turnament legal while Lynch is not. If you like the miniature, you could find a good excuse to get it.

I wonder if this means they are done with Mercs, and we'll be getting a lot more faction specific stuff from now on?

I am already planned to split Black 13th into a GMCA(Lynch), Arcane Tempest Rifleman(Watts) and Taryn(Ryan)....With a sword Lynch is looks like a GMCA, and Watts needs a rifle but I have a copied part(and sword). Making Ryan Taryn is tricky, but maybe a hood would make more like Taryn than her former self....
I know Black 13th is playable now, but still I doubt that they are useful that much... and I am still hurted by the change that makes obsolete.

I wonder if this means they are done with Mercs, and we'll be getting a lot more faction specific stuff from now on? Honestly, I suspect that this mini was just intended to be an alt version of GMCA (like the female JR), but since they were late/out of ideas for real Minicrate miniatures they decided to make it a collectable instead of a normal miniature. The fact that she was never hinted/spoiled before 2 days ago (while we have seen concept arts of things like Arlan Versh since one year ago and it's still not released) only makes it more fishy. This actually pisses me off a bit. I like the miniature, but honestly it's a bit small and generic to be worth 20 bucks. Most models of that size and level of complexity are sold for 7-8 dollars by PP.

I dunno, I find it nicer than most of the minicrate figures I've seen so far (and not smaller or less complex than most), so I don't really see how it's worth less. And since it's a faction-specific solo, it's arguably more niche.
Now, if you want to argue that ALL the minicrate models are overpriced, well, that I could possibly agree with.

I think she's neat. Going to keep my subscription going for her and gift her to my friend. Curious though, I don't really get the name. I know (and love) the song it's riffing off of, but I don't get how this model connects with it.

At least they still lost the purpose for me, and I had rather fill the place by two solos. True Sight is good, sure. But I expect support role for such level of points and numbers, for regular units and jacks are able to handle it already. They are not useless after getting True Sight, but unfit for me.

Me neither, I was thinking it was something to do with old-fashioned firearms shooting lead balls (rather than modern bullet-shaped bullets). I think gunmages inscribe runes on bullets, right? So that would make them rune-balls?

They do. I never got the impression they were shooting musket balls, though. Come to think of it, I have no idea what a rune shot looks like.

I think they have pictures of it in the ikrpg book, also at least a few gunmages (Ryan comes to mind, maybe few blazer models) has a bandolier on hem somewhere filled with bullets, not musket balls.
