The SA has several areas where it performs as well as other options in the points range Total threat is one of the best in faction at 13" Rat 7 pow 15 d3+1 gun vs large bases is one of the best in faction melee output at 1 pow 15 and 3 pow 18s is equal to many heavies (this is really where the SA shines vs other faction's BE) impact attacks being 1" sweep gives it a large infantry killing bubble. def stats are better than most heavies (should really show PP that def 10 arm 19 is really unacceptable for our titans but I have no idea what PP is thinking here)
Over all the SA is a huge piece for skorne but also shows how lacking the other options in the faction really are. When you compare our SA to other battle engines it is one of the best but not as over the top that it is when comparing it to other options in the faction. I don't know what PP is going to do to the SA in CID but as the meta in my area is continuing to die I don't think it will matter much by the time skorne's CID rolls around. It also shows how much fury 5 casters really struggle as xerxis2's lists just don't work without the SA.

mmm yeah, IWH unfortunately benefits best when used by X2, who has a 5 fury count and small ass control area. It's always best to take 2 min units of beast handlers and keep him next to a krea while under spiked armor. Even then, the derps being able to act outside his control area and block LoS to him are huge buffs. I've been trying to figure out how to play X2 the best, but his fat ass base is always my biggest problem... hey look another post popped up x.x OK That's melee threat, not the 12 inch gun he can fire in combat, increasing his threat to 23'' or ONLY 20 if you don't have a charge target His impact attack is huge into spams, for sure. His Def/Arm is because he's a big frigg'n turtle (10 instead of 11) with armor plating over top of his already armored shell (20 arm instead of 19 arm) I do agree though, I think that our titans should have the same def/armor stats as Khador. If they really want to stick us with 19 armor, we should at least get 12 def.

Ironic, when you think about it. The SA was so bad when it was introduced that there were people who were literally saying that Skorne finally had a Battle Engine when the Farrow Meat Thresher was released. Now it seems that some people are not capable of playing the average game without one.

So by rules it consumes all ranged an melee attacks for a model to trample Example is in legion with Typhoon not being allowed to buy ranged attavks the turn it tramples it can only buy melee If im missunderstanding the rules i would like a link to pps rule on this

onijet01 Dual Attack circumvents this. Special attacks don't consume "all your initial attacks", first you choose to make ranged or melee attacks, then you can make a special attack instead of your initials. So you choose melee, make a special attack and then Dual Attack lets you also make your initial ranged attacks. edit: The difference with Typhon is that Multiple Heads is a different rule than Dual Attack: it specifically prevents buying ranged attacks and doesn't grant you another set of initials, just that you may choose the attack type per weapon, but this would be after choosing to forfeit your initials to trample.
