Disappointed that it's another pinup model. If they'd advertised the mini-crate stuff as explicitly all about the pinups, that'd be one thing. They'd be owning it as a design choice and people could make informed choices about whether they want them. But instead they're just advertised as "exclusive limited-edition" sculpts with no mention (to my knowledge) that the majority would be sexualized swamp monsters and what not.
Even this Concept to Crate thing just says the concept is "female version of Mr. Walls, the Quartermaster, in full pirate-themed regalia", which somehow mean it must be sexualized. Look at the poses considered -- they're all Bond girl poses. The concept text says she "looks as if she would mess you up and clear a deck all by herself", but her wierd hip thrust/booty-out pose still says "sex object".
I dunno. To me the problem is that they're making pinup models and then acting like they're just normal representations of female characters. Normalization of women-as-sex-objects is the kind of thing that turns people away from playing the game. I have female friends who are into sci fi and fantasy and whatnot. There are women in the Dungeons & Dragons and Magic the Gathering groups that share a game night with Warmahordes at my local game store. I really wouldn't mind if my local meta had people in it who weren't dudes.
Edit: Fairer representation of my local meta.

On the other hand...it's not like they're catching you off guard with the models either. All of the model sculpts have been previewed beforehand, and the "women-as-sex-objects" argument isn't really valid...they're doing pinups of men as well.
Sure, this is the PP version of pinups monthly, but buyers are WELL aware of what they're purchasing.

they're doing pinups of men as well. Are they? The Bloody Bradigan Pitt sculpt shows a lot of skin, but last I checked beer guts are... not conventionally sexy. Certainly less so that the Brad Pitt reference it's based on. The Alten Van Helsing sculpt looks fine but not terribly sexualized. Is there another male sculpt I'm forgetting?

With assless chaps. But that's a future sculpt.

Harley versh. With assless chaps. Huh. Yeah, that'd definitely qualify as pinup.

The reason bradigan has a beer gut is so that he can still be recognized as bradigan. Alten is still unrecognizable though so they kind of screwed the pooch there. Honestly I don't care either way I like having the extra bits for conversion. And as a lusty argonian maid I like pin ups. But I understand where you're coming from. I would still be interested in the fem versions even if they were less pin up looking

To be fair: All chaps are "assless".

ALL my female friends who tried Warmachine (either for gaming, or painting or both) wanted sexy warcasters/warlocks as their in-game alter-ego. Basically NONE of them was interested in starting with a character who wasn't an attractive female power-figure. When we were choosing their warcaster from available ones (basing it on model appearance) they always went for the sexy girl option first and foremost. Actually, some of them chose their faction based on the female warcaster whom they found attractive enough. Skarre! Sorscha! Lilith! Kaelyssa! Helga...ha,ha, good joke..., show me something else.
