I've been doing some thinking about putting together a Legions of Dawn list under Issyria, and I would appreciate some feedback before I bring it to a table.
Theme: Legions of Dawn
- Issyria (29+)
>Hemera (0 [16])
>Chimera (0 [8])
>Harpy (4 [9])
-Scyir (4)
>Harpy (9)
-Scyir (4)
-Mechanik (2)
-Sentinels (18)
>CA (0 [4])
-Sentinels (18)
>CA (0 [4])
-Invictors (16)
>CA (0 [4])
The main thing I want to push with this list is scenario. The 2" from theme helps a bit with fixing the dawnguard's slow speed, and when it comes around to getting alpha strikes in Issy can use Crusader's Call to give the sentinels 12" of threat on charging weaponmasters rolling 5d6 + 12 drop lowest, which should make clearing a zone for a quick control point easy enough. The invictors with ambush plus Crusader can get 10" of movement before shooting, as well as the CA mini-feat, bringing them up to 24" of shooting, plus Issy's feat and CRA, they shouldn't have too much of a problem clearing out zones. The scyirs should help alleviate any finnicky LoS the invictors might have when trying to get all their shots in. The harpys with their d3 push would be useful for moving contesting models out of zones, and Issy could use her ancillary action to get 4 shots out of a single harpy if she's within range. The marshaled harpy can also pull off some tricks with the flank(dawnguard) given by theme; on feat turn, if you can work out a charge with it -- which it can get 2" on from C.C. -- you can put concentrated power on it through the mechanik for +2 melee damage, and another +2 from the the crush! command, giving it a P+S 17 and P+S 15 weapon rolling 5d6 drop lowest, combined with blinding light on its target, you get the idea. Hemera's useful for getting more out of Issy, as well as making sure the invictors hit what they need to, plus a 4" POW14 AOE is always useful. The two arc nodes from chimera and hemera also allow for Issy to make sure she can get her spells all over the board.
