" One of the best combat solos in the game? What? I too find his personal combat capabilities lackluster. Low damage, poor range, no repo or anything. If he shoots he dies next turn, only good against low arm infantry.

I think FFE is really good with Thunderhead. With Nemo1 you could fully boost for free, then buy 2 and boost damage twice. On his combat potential: You can get 2 fully boosted shots with additional trick shot. You could have snipe on him and you could also use spirit door to keep him safe. In later game stages this guy becomes really good and can get more and more aggressive.

I think noody is really shocked because there were really a lot of interactions that would allow to shoot the enemy deployment zone. They would have needed to tone back 2 Jrs, Haley 2 and maybe even HM +2 Deployment zone... In a Heavy Metal theme, were you dont have that much infantry clearing this guy is still superb. But I do not expect others to share that view lol.

The more I think about Siege1 with Ground Pounder the more excited I get. As he does not get the aiming bonus and cannot take Rangers in Heavy Metal, you are forced to boost his rat 6 to hit, as well as boosting the damage against heavy targets. which leaves him pretty focus strapped.
With FFE lets say you tag 3 models in the AOE, that's effectively 6 more focus for Siege1! That's crazy efficiency!

Another nice thing about FFE is it can essentially turn your colossal into a 5 focus equivalents for a turn. They are the models that really like having extra focus efficiency since they can actually use it all in a round of shooting.
Fully boosted AOE 4 with Hurricane ain't bad. Or you don't have to boost that first knockdown shot allowing you to boost damage on the next three shots instead.
If the stormwall is going to go full infantry removal mode you have more boosts to hit to work with or you don't have to allocate anything from your main caster to get the 2x booster pow 15s from the main guns.

I think Caine0 is actually a good model as is.
However, because of Sorch0 and Sev0, he is relatively weak because he lacks the 'auto-include' feel, the kind of feeling which makes CiD create power-creep (players will only say a model is viable if it replaces something in their already competitive and optimised list). With Sev0, it is tolerable because CM needs it, and exemplar don't really care about EoM. I don't play Khador but as a PoM player Boundless charge on a stick would be near autoinclude in many of my lists.

Journeyman Lieutenant Allister Caine: Snipe will allow Caine to be a little more personally impactful on a turn by turn basis.
Replace the Attack Type Black Penny with Snipe:
Attack Type:
•Snipe - This attack gains +4 RNG.
Great change, the difference between 10" and 14" is massive, especially when it goes to 17" after you reposition away.
