i have 2 units of woldstalkers from mk2 that i want to use.
thought about it and made something like this. im using tanith because *all* the defense debuffs. im apprehensive with using the wilder due to just paying 4 pts on nothing but helping with upkeeps. i guess im taking loki. so thats one living beast.
bones 74/75
tanith -wilder (free) -megalith -guardian -warden -loki -wyrd wayfarer (free) wayfarer (free) stoneshaper stoneshaper stoneshaper woldstalkers sentry shifting
how important are stoneshapers? i guess i have one for each wold.
woldstalkers with the debuff of megs, tanith, and affliction gets them to rat 12? they also are 2" further up the field To help get into position to shoot stuff.
can bleed heal a guardian if he casts it? it doesnt specify that it cant heal constructs.
I guess the question is, are woldstalkers more advantageous than a wyrd and swamp gobbers bellows crew or a second sentry plus other thing. wryds are pow 12 can only boost damage on one shot. sentrys are lower rat and pow, can boost to hit but still "weaker" but return.
woldstalkers are the voidray (starcraft2 refereance) of circle. the last hitting at a pow 17. i guess that assumes your opponent doesnt go after them. is that the downfall?

I have never played Woldstalkers. I say put them on the table and see how they do. Their ability seemed cool to me and I thought about putting something together with them but could never find something I felt was worth buying them. Let us know how your games go.
If I remember correctly bleed says remove damage so it is not healing. So I think it can.

Basically I am going to say the biggest reason I don't take them is they don't count for free points in bones of orboros in addition to competing with woldwyrds.
Wyrds are 1 point less, have purgation, some other cool abilities, are overall more durable and fire at similar output due to boosts.
Woldstalkers really need a caster that can simultaneously increase accuracy and pow, Tanith seems like a really great options for that, as with scytouch and her ability to swing def by up to 7 with megs, her gun, and affliction, she makes them basically rat 13 pow 14 guns which is kinda awesome.
They hit pretty hard once you get concentrated fire going, the issue is, if you miss one single shot the entire units output goes down significantly. If you can land every shot, they can cap out at Pow 19 with a damage buff which is pretty nice.
Having said all that, give them a shot, tanith certainly does a lot for them, and they are certainly good enough to test on their own. I ran them a bit with Mohsar before themes and wyrds got buffed, and had mixed success. Most of the time one or 2 of the shots would miss, making me a sad panda when it came to cracking a hard target. But if they all hit, it got pretty legit. Also, mohsar let them threat 21 inches with mirage and zephyr.

Basically I am going to say the biggest reason I don't take them is they don't count for free points in bones of orboros in addition to competing with woldwyrds. as it stands, i have 78 pts of beasts. that extra 9 id get from another wolwyrd isnt going to push me over the 100 pt mark for my 4th free dude. so im not sure thats much of an arguement especially since tanith is only 6 fury caster, im scared already for fury management yea, thats definitely a couple arguments for the wyrd great, now the score is tied... maybe? the stalkers dont have any cool abilities like purgation. but i guess i can maybe keep out of reach of a slow thing with zephyr since boosting is on equal footing for concentrated fire. that really only buys maybe one more turn of shooting. if anything, just meant for first turn to set up for turn 2. its dumb you cant do both...i feel like theyre missing an ability. but yea... ill give it a try.

If you are scared for fury management and like the ranged game, you should try the Celestial Fulcrum.
