Greating from France I'm actually training for a Tournament with this list. But I didn't understand WHY Aikos + iron Liche Overseer. It's just a copypast list from a Tournament WINNER. I try to skill on Warmachine wth good list for have different perspective. Can you explain the synergy with the list ? Why both Aiakos and the Iron Lich Overseer? For me personally, I like the ability to split up my battle group and keep them fed without taxing my warcaster and in the case of the denegra's, they dont care if the warjacks are in their battlegroup or not. So being able to have a few free roaming modules of hard hitting warjacks or assassin warjacks is very desirable for some casters.

But if i undertsand the rules ( i'm begginner only one year playing ) if Aikos or Overseer are out the warjack are distrupt. So it's quite dangerous.
Aikos must be to 7" to the Slayer for user abillties on. He is easely in danger. I think it's maybe a bit too tricky for a newbie.

Jack Marshalls and Junior Warcasters bring benefits, but as you mentioned also bring risks. Typically I’ve been able to keep them safe by having them as far away from the jacks they are controlling as possible. Using terrain to keep them out of LOS and likewise using the jacks themselves to block LOS and engage whatever threats there are. It is really not so difficult to keep them relatively safe. The biggest risks are against super shooty lists, things with long range AOEs, or sprays that are longer than your command or control, as they can engage your jackand then spray them and catch your solo, but that’s still not so easy.

As an aside, I am definitely not an authority on list building, but I don’t really get this list? I mean it’s probably fine, but with all the Heavies not in her battlegroup, you miss out on the benefits of Damnation and Wrongeye and Snapjaw, while great, likewise don’t get much help from Denny and don’t help with free points in the list either?

If the ILO dies does the jack becomes autonomous, not inert, so it's less risky than it looks.
Slayers on Aiakos, I'm guessing he is using them as expendable 'cruise missiles'. So they start at the edge of Aiakos' control range (which is 8", not 7") then go rampaging off 11" somewhere, and Aiakos becomes just a combat solo going in a different, safer, direction.

Correct, if the Iron Lich Overseer dies, the warjack does not become inert (like if Aiakos dies), it becomes autonomous, which means it can still move and do its initial attacks but doesn't get any focus or do boosting or anything special. Your warcaster can bring it into their own battle group by going base to base with the warjack and using an action to bond with it.
As far as that list goes, I can see how threat range extended slayers could be a thing but honestly, I would rather have a slayer under the Iron Lich Overseer and a pair of stalkers under Aiakos. At least that is my preference, this person obviously had different success.

To further elaborate on the ILO: there is a Warwitch Siren in the list, which means she can give a focus to the Stalker, which can use that focus to jump while using Crush! from the jack marshal and has 3 effective POW 16 blessed attacks. It's also a good source of Dark Shroud to give the list a bit more umph and the ILO is not a bad combat solo if it can get some souls.
Losing Damnation isn't actually that bad as Aiakos already gives +2 threat to his own battle group and the Stalker goes 13" regardless (Damnation doesn't work when using Jump) I also find that Denny only casts Damnation when you really need it and otherwise can barely fuel her jacks after casting Hellmouth and/or Breath Stealer and/or Curse of Shadows. She has a really deep kit and hates having to fuel her own warjacks (that's also why she has a Seether as they're more self sufficient).
I wouldn't go with Wrong Eye either, but Star Crossed does add some form of durability to your otherwise fragile jacks. This isn't Asphyxious 3 giving them all Unyielding and outside the feat she does nothing to protect her assets.

I prefer a Seether (free charges) or Shrike (free tramples, with ability to put Dark Shroud in good places due to SPD 7 and flight) under the ILO. Stalkers want FOCUS to leap, so without the Warwitch to power-up the Stlaker, they’re not as great at getting Dark Shroud where you want it.

How are you finding the Seether specifically to apply Dark Shroud in your list? Is it mostly used to bump his own output or does it sometimes end up on a high value target so the rest of your list can tear it apart? With Denny 2 specifically, I'm worried about his lower threat range than the rest of the list (I have 2 Seethers on Aiakos).
