So I've been playing for a couple of years now, and I find myself getting beaten the vast majority of the time. I'm not sure if it's my lists, the incredibly experienced players I play against, my deployment, the faction, my play choices or any other of the myriad of possibilities. Don't get me wrong I have lots of fun (though a win here and there would be nice), and most importantly I feel I'm getting better as I play, but I'm curious as to what everybody else's CoC experience is?

With Convergence? I win pretty much every game. My opponents in this area seem to have a hard time against my Convergence lists. They fit my playstyle very nicely. What type of lists are you playing?

Have you considered Axis? IMO he's the only CoC caster with real board control. From memory: Axis DI Cipher Inverter Inverter Conservator Conservator Diffuser Corollary OpD TEP 3xReflex Attunement

I don't win many games, but I don't really mind losing. I have lots of fun playing, and I get my combos off most games. My big thing is that since I'm still pretty new, I make mistakes about where focus was moved/where units are sitting, how much damage I do on average, etc.
My big problem was before we got Destruction Initiative, when a lot of my models were getting shot off the board or charged before I could get myself in range. Now that we have all these lane blockers and shield guards, I'm having a great time

Thanks Dan! Will give it a go
I've been sticking with the same two lists for a bit now and it payed off in that i won two games in a row. The three most talented players weren't playing so i had that going for me which is nice.
It seems to be a common issue with newer players in an established meta, hard to win games!
That being said, i would rather lose at this game than win at other games who aren't aiming for balance.

When I'm playing with Axis i have a very strong win record. Lucant is decent and the others very. I'm looking at stating to play iron Mother a bit more so well see what lists I'll build with her. Debating if having a colossal is a good idea or not.

But we took him to a tournament out of town and he went 2-2 against some pretty good opponents. Part of it is that we know what mistakes he usually makes because we talk about it after the game. When you play the same people over and over they learn what you're good at and what you struggle against.
