Thanks for the detailed reports. The pictures are really helpful. I was looking at them and thinking what I would do with them all. It's really educational. Thanks again.

Hey guys, so just had a game in person at the shop today and want to write it up while its fresh in the mind. No photos though, very off the cuff report
the scenario was The Pit II and it was Dreamer vs Issyria. i was using Pat's dreamer list (5 heavies 3 gorehounds).
To the best of my memory this was my opponent's list:
Retribution Army - 74 / 75 points
[Theme] Defenders of Ios
[Issyria 1] Issyria, Sibyl of Dawn [+29]
- Chimera [8]
- Harpy [9]
- Harpy [9]
- Siren [8]
Arcanist Mechanik [2]
Arcanist Mechanik [2]
Arcanist Mechanik [2]
Eiryss, Mage Hunter of Ios [0(7)]
Fane Knight Skeryth Issyen [0(8)]
Ghost Sniper [0(3)]
Ghost Sniper [3]
House Vyre Electromancers [8]
Ryssovass Defenders (max) [16]
- Soulless Escort (1) [1]
Stormfall Archers [9]
Stormfall Archers [9]
Arcantrik Force Generator [17]
Its at least 95% accurate, he might have had a different solo than a third arcanist mechanik though.
Arcana
I took All Fall Down, Sacrifice and Ill Omens. His plan was a very clear "try to shoot the opponent off the table". I always have a very dim view of that plan when against Grymkin. Ill Omens would make my army tankier and Sacrifice is an incredible anti chip damage tool.
Deployment
i lost the roll and took the slightly more advantageous side, i had a wall and a forest essentially. He deployed his AFG and ryssovass to take the left flank, one stormfall to each flank. the chimera stayed central and the harpies took the right.
i deployed centrally, but intended to swing my force hard to the right and just clear my zone repeatedly. i sent two gorehounds left because i had a forest in a great spot for prowl
Round 1
ret runs its forces straight up at me, nothing special.
i throw down Artifice of Deviation and shelter two cage ragers and a skin and moans in it. That right skin and moans gets Mirage too because its a spell i hate, but it works really well if you just keep it on a single skin and moans. I tactically position gremlin swarms behind my heavies so that Thunderbolt doesn't work
Round 2
I discover i made a bit of a positioning mistake with my Skin and Moans on the left, leaving him a fraction of an inch within 16" of the cricket (the AFG). thanks to both crabbits shield guarding like absolute champions and some low rolling from my opponent the skin and moans only takes 14 damage (exactly half damage) from his turn. i lost one crabbit, and took some chip damage to my cage ragers. He ran a pod of 3 Ryssovass forwards towards me and kept the others back.
I did what Grymkin does best - i pushed forwards. I got my cage ragers into the zones in that sweet spot on The Pit where they contest the rectangle and the circle simultaneously. My damaged skin and moans hid behind the building to make himself a very hard target. my gorehounds were really the only models that did killing this turn, taking out a single stormfall archer and then sprinting to engage others. The other two gorehounds fought the ryssovass and killed the forwards pod of 3, as well as jamming the others quite effectively.
Round 3
Issy calls feat, and positions forward fairly aggressively but thanks to low grymkin threat ranges shes pretty safe. My opponent makes a fairly critical misplay of attacking my left side first - the side without a shield guard. His Ryssovass and siren spend their activations clearing out my two gorehounds over there. Overall i'm fairly happy with this trade. his AFG and stormfalls leave my cage rager on 10 boxes - Ouch! But there was the critical misplay
He begins his attack on my right side using his harpies and stormfalls. I shield guard to my crabbit at some point and it dies and i pop sacrifice. It was a fairly significant heal - off my memory it was 14pts to my half health skin and moans, 22 points to my cage rager who really got mauled by his AFG and at least 10-12pts on the cage rager on the right who was taking the brunt of the attack. Getting 48 box heals is nuts. My opponent regretted his decision a lot, but it was also his first game against Grymkin and i don't think anyones first game vs Grymkin goes well.
he put a good amount of damage onto my cage rager after that, including charging him with Skeryth and killed my objective with electromancers (d3 pow 12s is really good under feat!).
On my retaliation Manifest Destiny allowed me to put a pretty crushing attack in. i cleared out his right stormfalls and an electromancer with my gorehound. Skeryth died to the cage ragers. My miraged skin and moans broke the formation and went in and murdered an extra stormfall and his Harpy. the other harpy used admonition to escape. Then on the left my two heavies killed a mountain of ryssovass and got his siren even through Oracular. I then jammed him up pretty good with gremlin swarms and created phantasms, such as placing the little mouse one inbetween my skin and moans and his Ryssovass
Round 4
My opponent tries to keep the fight going, but he is forced into killing a warrior very early on in the turn due to how aggressively i've jammed with them. That allows me to play Ill Omens and the rest of his turn is very unproductive. He manages to blinding light my cage rager that's badly damaged and it gets finished off. His Ryssovass and left side barely makes a dent in my heavies. My skin and Moans being effectively def 14 arm 22 is a hell of a drug.
At this point my opponent concedes. Even though i'm hot on fury and will have a frenzy, or multiple, happen, he's so far behind in attrition that the game is essentially done.
Overall Thoughts
This is really just Dreamer at her best. Artifice shuts down shooting, the lights get solid work done while jamming for the heavies. The Cage Ragers take the initial brunt of the attack and then swap to skin and moans. Skin and Moans are just magnificent if they get into that end game situation where an opponent has lost the ability to alpha them effectively and they can just print value
i think Ret has a fairly hard time into Grymkin in general. Although i have a feeling Shade4 is going to change that. his feat is brutal for Grymkin heavies
