I have overall very little experience against Trollbloods, but recently faced off against Madrak1, with Fenblades, Champions, Longriders, a few solos and attachments, and the Stone. Between plentiful access to Magic Weapons, good threat ranges, high Def, high Arm, tough, no knockdown, good Mat, and good damage, I’ve been scratching my head over the best way, or anyway, to approach this. Do you guys have any suggestions and/or tales of dark glory to share?

wseraphim I think the list I used against it was not ideal, but I wanted to try it out anyway. I was thinking my Skarre1 Dark Host list with 3 Stalkers in it would be ok, yet in many cases the Trolls are Def16 so its still hard to hit them unless Skarre herself is playing forward in order to use Dark Guidance. Between Madrak's Ricochet and some AOE's etc, it is a bit dangerous, but I guess you are right? What is it about the Riders that you like in particular? My current Dark Host list doesn't have them.

Btw, does grevious wounds negate Sanguine Bond? I’m thinking no, but would love to be told differently.

Between 18 arm, mortal fear and skarre feat they are just tanky enough to not die easy. Double battle engines might be even better, but i own only one. Also, thanks to vengence + ghostly riders always have room to charge And 13'' threat range of entire list - quite heplfull

Any of our warcasters that can help our stuff hit more accurately and harder would have some game in there. I assume that they are playing band of heroes with all the take down on the warrior models? So you cant rely on tough or recursion. That means you need to be really smart about placement or have something that can help you get the alpha strike. A cloud wall, a way to neuter the enemy speed, or something to slow them down. For us, it will most likely be staggering your troops so that they just cant pac man their way through them and you have enough left over to hit back and cripple their list. Greivous wounds are also something you want to bring. Either with stalkers, a desecrator, or blood witches.
I would like to say that something like bile thralls will work well, and while they do bypass the high defense, if they are hot on the tough rolls, it will be a waste as you only get the one shot. With the stone, they can be immune to corrosion.
Your best bet is overwhelming force their overwhelming force. Dark Host and Skarre or Denny 1, maybe Denny 2. Keep in mind the mini-feat with the bane warriors will not work if they remove your dudes from play. However, Tartarus works just fine filling up your units, as his style of recursion doesn't care about that.

It's worth noting that Stalker's Blessed will ignore the DEF bonus from Solid Ground as it's a bonus from a spell, but will not ignore the penalties you get from being in one of Kolgrimma's clouds.
Usually when dealing with Champions I prefer to send in a heavy. Those can normally boost so they hit fairly reliably and deal enough damage so your opponent will elect to make Tough rolls instead of spreading 10+ damage. Also, keep hitting the same Champion until it's dead. He can only use Retaliatory strike once per Champion.
Being able to stop healing through Grievous Wounds or Mortality, or simply killing enough of them so he only heals 1-2 of them, is essential to countering Madrak's feat.
