So while i was using my sub optimal derpy heretic list i got alpha striked really hard by an orion gunline. The TEP + flare spam (servitors throwing aoe3s and one jack with reload1 throwing aoe4 flare) caused like 80-90% of my important models to be revealed like my skin and moans.
Old witch seems a very self explanatory answer -- but what are the other grymkin ways of dealing with gunlines that largely ignore shroud?

I'm still pretty new to Grymkin so grain of salt.
Off the top of my head I'd jump to Wanderer or Dreamer. Wanderer has Fog of War (which, to be fair, most things that ignore Stealth would also ignore) and Veil of Mists on top of Star Crossed. Probably trickier in this specific scenario since the servitor flares are AOEs so they can just get really close and not care about SC.
Dreamer can drop Artifice on the important models to give them cover.
Actually, King can build a nice 12" cloud wall and just shut down LOS too, but he runs really weird lists from what I've seen.
Other than that, Crabbits for Shield Guards maybe?

Orion is just kind of...dumb. He ignores a lot of tech and he makes convergence guns absurd.
I would say crabits for the approach, and dreamer for the def skew. Rat 7 is tough, but def 17 is still pretty darn hard to hit.

If he's also boosting attack rolls, those DEF17 models become easy to hit (when you roll 4 dice...).

Orion is stupid, dealing with him will be really hard for just about any faction in the game as he answers all his own questions and solves all his own problems. Good old CiD...

Honestly, like I said earlier, Sacrifice arcana and and Crabbits are the best answer (and a pretty good one).

well good opponents can and will play around sacrifice excluding dice. Also convergence has some super nifty ways to deal with crabits. Eg: they finish off your Heavy with a TEP because you cannot shield guard and such.
I don't think its as easy as, get good with sacrifice and crabit placement.
