I took down masters, some really crazy games. I was streamed in the finals if you would like to see the four huge bases in action. www.twitch.tv/videos/276727044PP should give you commission for all the Haulers you just sold for them Will collect mine from customs later today
Played a game with that list earlier this week (had to Proxy only the HHH) and it was super fun. Played against a Skarre3 Slaughterfleet list and the only things that gave me some headaches was the tough no KD bubble from Jussika and that Dragon's Blood would give an unit fire immunity on top of it. Still won the game and will definitely explore it more.

I played that matchup round 1 of masters very interesting game for sure. I used my feat to kill Jussika, she's kind of the lynchpin of the matchup.

Question! After you learned you grossly misplayed return fire why did you continue on to the finals (which had several play errors)? Is winning that important? That's extremely rude, I think you should firstly understand that there is a real person on the other side of the keyboard and speak to people in a way that reflects that. Secondly you should realise that there are mistakes in every game of warmachine even at the high level from human inaccuracy in movement to veterans of the game playing rules wrong.
This happens literally all the time and I think it's extremely keyboard warriorish of you to attack people over a forum using the amaninity of the internet to attack someone.
It's telling that you seemingly created a brand new account just for this attack.

Well next time you forget a rule you can go ahead and drop from the event. For goodness sakes it’s not like he gave Grim weaponmaster on his gun or something... People make mistakes because we are people. Calling someone out because they didn’t drop for a very minor rules error is dickish, Is winning that important that you have to jump On a forum create an account just to harass someone who was successful?

People make mistakes because we are people. Calling someone out because they didn’t drop for a very minor rules error is dickish, Is winning that important that you have to jump On a forum create an account just to harass someone who was successful? I have done just that. I played Haley 2 and handed out TA to multiple models. Once I found out how wrong I was, I gave myself the loss for the opponent. In fact, a player DQed themselves in the LNL masters because they added 2 inches to a spell. The issue at hand is a player misplayed a spell and created a situation that allowed them to win. That player publicly acknowledged that they misplayed it. Same player "takes down masters". I would like to know that players motivation behind accepting the win. Do you understand that if every player that played a rule wrong dropped from the masters there would be literally no one left in the masters?
The tournament would be forfeited every single year.
Where you his opponent from the Semi-final that he incorrectly used Return Fire against? If so then I would suggest you should have expressed these concerns to the Head judge at the time who would have made a decision.
If you weren't the opponent then frankly it's none of your business. The game is a social contract between two people and as long as they are both happy at the end then there its literally nothing to do with anyone else.

A valid question, if rudely worded. Let me do my best to clarify.
The L&L masters wasn't particularly high stakes for my opponent, who had already qualified for IG and WMW. At the conclusion of the game, when we were informed of the mistake, he extended his hand and told me not to feel bad about it and to crush the finals. If he had asked for my concession I would have certainly given it. The judge (I believe) gave him the option of giving me a game loss and a warning, and my opponent waved him off without any input from me.
What does this mean for me going forward? Dude I'm so paranoid about knowing my rules now. You have to understand that I quite literally only get to play Warmachine when I go to events like this. The rest of the time, I live 3 hours from the nearest WMH community, and that trip involves two major mountain passes which makes it impossible many times in the winter months. It's not an excuse - I should have known my rules better - but that is the reality of my situation.
How am I going to make sure I know what all my stuff does going forward? Well for starters, I'm going to stick with the same list pairing until the end of the year. I've got almost ten games in with each list now (which is a lot for me lately) and I've gone through them with a fine tooth comb by myself and with others at Lock and Load to make sure I know exactly how the rules interactions in the list function. I'm not going to go into my personal goals and plans for the future of my WMH playing since, frankly, it's not your business, but be sure that I am concerned about how the semi-finals went and I am doing my level best to make sure I am never involved in something similar again.
Thank you for your question, I hope this is a satisfactory answer.

Charles that was a stand up answer to underserved hostility. Way to stay classy buddy.
Your opponent sounds like an equally classy act ... tough one to follow but ya did it.

Alright guys, I finally did it. Here's an overview of the Grim 1 Huge Base list I took to Lock and Load Masters a few weeks ago. It talks about model choice, deployment, game plan, and matchups. Even if you don't play Trolls, if you wouldn't mind giving it a read and shooting some feedback about the formatting my way I'd appreciate it. Adding in all of the Warmachine University links nearly doubles the time it takes to write an article, but if they're helpful I want to keep doing it! Thank you for reading, looking forward to your thoughts www.loswarmachine.com/losgeneral/2018/7/9/warmachine-and-hordes-list-analysis-grim-1-huge-bases

Nice writeup, great to know your thoughts behind the list I didn't use the links but the pictures were good. I like that you describe how the list wants to play and perform during a game, thumbs up for that No comments on Braylen? Not that there's much to say about her, I'm just wondering. Well done!

Glad you enjoyed it! Braylen is probably a 2-300 words of explanation model and I was already pushing on two hours of writing time for this one and wanted to spend some time with my son. I'll probably add on to this piece over time as I play the list more and see how that goes. But she's awesome

It looks great, speaking as a grammar nerd. I don't see being able to afford the list in my near future, but I wish you luck with it!

Thank you for reading, looking forward to your thoughts www.loswarmachine.com/losgeneral/2018/7/9/warmachine-and-hordes-list-analysis-grim-1-huge-basesI don't play trolls and found this an interesting read. It's always nice to see some innovative lists and if they happen to work well, it's useful to read about them in this way to be able to prepare for them The warmachine university links were of course also helpful as a non-player. For what it's worth, I read it without images (I'm at work) and the layout was still fine. Like mazog I didn't really see any grammar or spelling errors, though I did notice that the second War Wagon didn't have a link. I understand why you wouldn't put it there as it's probably some extra work and it's redundant, but if it's not too much work, I think it would be better to add it for consistency. I do agree with bundeez and think it's a bit of a shame you didn't go into most of the support options of the list. Braylen wasn't mentioned at all and you only mentioned the Thumper crew at the end when you were considering replacing it.

Another great article and it was really interesting to read your thoughts around alternative options and how and why they don't work.
I have to say that I'm not sure the that links are worth the amount of extra time you put into them. It was useful to have them there, but I would have thought that if you could arrange for auto linking in someway that would be worth doing but not at the cost of potentially writing more.
