I haven't even assembled my unit of Satyxis Raiders from their veeeeeeeery first sculpt (their original release). One of these days, I really need to actually try Satyxis- there's certainly enough stuff out for them (and new sculpts!)

I know what you need!
You need to get a full unit of each sculpt! The original, the Farrah Fawcett hair rescuplt, and the newest resculpt! Would look unique and interesting on the table.

Hmmmm..... I think I would need to find two more of the original sculpt in order to do that (I have 8, as once upon a time you paid points per model after the min). I could look into it though.

Back then, you had a point cost for the base unit then a cost per model you wanted to add to the unit up to it's max. The point scale was also extremely different. Like how the Behemoth was the single, most expensive model in the game at 172 points... and the Harbinger was the most expensive Warcaster/Warlock at 104.

Holy shot that sounds legit. Can we go back to those days. I'd really rather not, though. Infantry spam and weird points costs weren't super fun. I definitely prefer things here in MKIII.

Infantry spam may not be as prevalent in MK3, but selling moar Satyxis (IFP, Man o' Wars, Banes, Blighted Ogrun, etc.) is definitely on the docket! This new unit sculpt is really well done though.

Also, don't get the original sculpt, ever. I lost all the horns of those because they were way too tiny and you basically just had to accept that you would lose them eventually. The rest of the model was equally tiny and horrible.
They're only FA 2 anyway. I'm definitely getting one of that new sculpt to complement my current unit. Too bad I still have another unit of the current sculpt in the box, which I will now have to pawn off to someone.

I'm missing two horns, and one arm because they dropped somewhere, and were too tiny to find. I figured when I actually did the work for them, I'd just sculpt them on there myself. And yet, I still haven't touched the unit in all this time.

I pinned the horns on my MKI Satyxis. That was one of the reasons I never had more than one unit, I couldn't afford the blood loss...

They're decently strong and thin and cheap, and you can use the flat bit at the end for rivets.

As I recall, the trick was/is to use some of whatever sprue the tiny parts come on as a peg, and just drill into the larger part. So in this case, drill into the satyxis head, and shove parts of sprue into that hole, with the horn attached to the sprue. Then the horn will be left sticking out. Drilling into the actual horns, or helmet feathers or whatever it is, is impossible in my experience.
