I'm super excited to be playing Abby 1. I think she is super solid post CID. I played a couple games with her during the CID process and got in my first game with her last night. I played the following.
Legion Army - 75 / 75 points
[Theme] Oracles of Annihilation
(Absylonia 1) Absylonia, Terror of Everblight [+31]
- Angelius [17]
- Angelius [17]
- Archangel [37]
- Proteus [19]
Blighted Nyss Sorceress & Hellion [0(6)]
The Forsaken [0(4)]
The Forsaken [0(4)]
Throne of Everblight [16]
I played a game into Mordikaar 1. I didn't play super well, making several mistakes but did pull out the win. Refuge was awesome, Ashen Veil mattered making Proteus def 13, AA anchored and did well all game, the feat was great as it allowed me to take a bunch of free strikes with an Angel to get him onto Molik Karn without losing any aspects. A well place blight burst kept Proteus from being killed by a heavy. She's a lot of fun to play and I think will be a competitive option for us going forward.
Let's see your lists, dojo, and post up your post game thoughts here!

I had a similar list in mind but using a Seraph over a Throne.
My biggest issue with her is that both her and Chosen will be shut down by the same thing... and I can’t NOT play Chosen once they come out!
But back to the seraph, I feel like you need him for the Angelius/Proteus threat extension, and his gun is great with AA animus.

Here is my take
Legion Army - 75 / 75 points
[Theme] Oracles of Annihilation
(Absylonia 1) Absylonia, Terror of Everblight [+31]
- Angelius [17]
- Angelius [17]
- Naga Nightlurker [8]
- Proteus [19]
- Ravagore [16]
- Ravagore [16]
Blighted Nyss Shepherd [1]
Blighted Nyss Shepherd [1]
Blighted Nyss Sorceress & Hellion [0(6)]
Spell Martyr [1]
Spell Martyr [1]
The Forsaken [0(4)]
The Forsaken [0(4)]
Blackfrost Shard [9]
The goal of this list was to relive the glory days of my Mk2 eVayl list. It wants to fight into beast/jack heavy and some combined arms. The double angels are there to hotswap refuge for shenanigans. The ravagores punish people for advancing slowly and create infantry choke points where a wild aggression angel could clean up. Proteus is just good, and amazing with abby. Naga makes sure the shooting is effective.
The BFS capitalizes on OoA bonuses, and harm is very effective if I decide to shoot. Forsaken are amazing anyway, and very very strong with Abbys elite cadre. The SaH provide free charges for the angels, plus whatever abby makes fly that turn. They are also pretty great for an initial spray. The shepherds hang back with the Ravagores and provide fury management. The spell martyrs help abby deliver blight burst, which I consider core tech. A blight burst on your beast allows you to prevent anything without a 2` weapon to attack your beasts with spending focus/fury. It prevents enemy jacks from charging, and can make it so a slow gargossal cant even spend that turn. Also you can lock stuff down with proteus, and then nail him in the ass with it to prevent whatever he has locked down from spending anything in retaliation.

Yeah, one of my other possible lists had a Seraph and two spell martyrs instead of the throne. Will probably try that list as well. I actually think the threat extension is less needed as everything already threats 13" but think it may actually be more important for flare. I thought the list may struggle with getting jammed by infantry which is why I swapped in a throne. Everybody, let's hear your post game thoughts once you've had a chance to try her out.

I kind of tend to prefer Ice Witches over BFS when there's Ravagores involved. Let us know how it goes.

Definitely agree, gonna have to steal this list for myself (I also might swap the BFS for Witches, probably will need to try it both ways). I just filled a couple holes in a very cheap Skorne lot I got (somehow it didn't have an Agonizer, of all things) to play some games while I mulled over Legion, but now that these changes to Abby stuck, I think that gets put on the backburner for her. I might finally pick up Thagrosh 2 as well, since he never really spoke to me in Mk2 especially after Abby2 became a thing.

Swap Upkeeps on the other pair and repeat. As Hit'n'Run as it gets. Protheus just does his thing as needed. Ice withes to make thos ap attacks and neraphtail attacks stick.

I had almost the same list, but replaced one neraph with a raek, 2 shepherds and 2 martyrs to give me more ability to spread out and lob blight bursts. Worked great. I was far up on attrition vs gaspy3 slayers, but i was a little too aggressive with Abby overestimating the protection of her feat. One gang fighting slayer can still finish her through a few transfers

I like the Neraph version but it's harder to execute than the Ravagore version.

I started Legion to play Vayl2 and was pretty bummed when she lost refuge. I have officially ordered Abby1 to give this type of list a shot. I think both the Ravagore and Neraph versions look super solid, curious to give them a go.
I am wondering how Abby1 fits into a list pair though. She doesn't seem to do enough with the feat to allow the army to play into heavy guns, and I am not sure if there is enough armour cracking in the list (although perhaps I am WAY off base on this). She seems like she would be a pretty good generalist list that may struggle into some of the SKEW armies out there. What are you all thinking for pairs?

You should think of the feat as an effective +2 armor, and a near guarantee that if they don't kill you all your systems will be in. The all heal to full is just gravy.

Why not use both the neraph and the ravagore on opposite sides of the board and up your overall utility

Her feat is also awesome for assasination. Take a few free strikes and heal back any damaged systems xD.

Nice combined arms list with Ravagores/Angelii. Looks fun. Abby1 had been my favorite since her release. Glad Playing God is back in name, even if not the same (oh for a two-hand throwing Raek!!)
I worry about scenario presence/effectiveness. Especially against warjack, or other spam of the moment, whatever that may be in your venue. (In ours it's Slayers, Ret Griffions or Khador 5-6 warjacks, 3x Skin & Moans, etc)
Another CID shaking up my theorizing and playing! Thanks for making my old models into 'new' models PP!
