Hello Cygnar forum. With the current general fracas over immunities and the salt that seems to accompany each CID cycle it has come to my attention that there's a distinct lack of purely for-fun threads in this subforum. So I'm putting up this thread so that people can see the shenanigans I've gotten up to, translating my IKRPG character to tabletop form. What, if it's good enough for Hutchuck and Savio, it's good enough for Martin! Even if I never dream of using these rules in a remotely serious setting, I'd love to hear what you people think of them. Martin Valette WID 1-0.pdf (73.29 KB) Rules in the attached PDF, format is inspired by CID, hence the Fun With Acronyms. Also, if any of you lot have any homebrew ideas that you want to share, by all means slap them in a PDF and stick them here, the more the merrier. Anyway, a bit of introduction. Martin Valette is the son of a Llaelese exile, a Priest of Morrow/Warcaster, and the bane of my GM's existence, via an odd interaction between the Sanguine Blessing spell and power fields. Turns out being able to absorb damage onto ARM 17 for friendlies within CTRL sapped a lot of dramatic tension out of Bitter Medicine's climax. I would say I was sorry, but an ambush and a quad-iron still managed to burst away all his health, and Martin wound up with facial scars and a missing eye for his trouble, so I maintain it's Fair and Balanced. Bonus points to those of you who can figure out the source material I got the original concept from; although the character has gone through enough evolution the only real clue is in his sword's name. So, like, mad props if you guess it, I suppose.
