breakthrough Let me ask this: you were out, came back, more or less have enough models for Rask superfriends and are looking for a second list with a significant amount of model overlap that you can play that is reasonably competent, but won't cost an arm and a leg? eBarney

Maximus being 15/18 doesn't seem entirely awful either...

If the question was whether other minions casters can run the superfriends, that's absolutely a yes. Sturm, Barny2, and Helga come to mind first. Basically all of the minions warlocks are happy taking at least one lesser warlock in WWFF though Arkadius and Carver only want one (Dahlia/Rorsh respectively).

Man I wanna run a Maelok supersolo list in WWFF. All those +4 arm,+1 spd solos with 8 wounds would be sweet (Gudrun, Bokur, Thrullg, Maximus, Tot Hunter). He doesn't really help the lesser warlocks, but you can get away with bringing only Wrongeye for the def boost. Also, arm 21 valkyries on feat, and they can be revived.

Brun also seems pretty good with Maelok. Impervious Flesh with Arm 17/19 and a couple transfers is appealing at least. He's also a Mat 11 P+S 14 weapon master if you can engineer a flank on a mortalitied target.

Both he and Rask can run many lessers, and both being gator casters they will be able to share beasts too. The solos will be similar, but may change slightly as the different lists focus on different things. Barney is expensive, but the rest should keep the cost down. Both Barney and Rask are considered competitive, so you are not handicapping yourself in that area either.

Much solos but actually no Warbeasts and besides Boomwholer and Nyss no other Minion Units... I´d say: go and get a caster and his battlegroup and just start playing. You want to play Maximus? Play him! It´s just 4 points out of around 100 points, that simply doesn´t destroy your chances of winning. Jaga Jaga could also be a good choice in WWFF with your model collection. But really, just play! Get your experience, learn, adapt, crush your opponent.

Ok thx alot Gaston, so you would not suggest to Maelock in WWFF besides Rask in WWFF or? I have not personally tried it, but I know people who do like Maelok in WWFF, so I would not discourage it out of hand. The catch is that most of the lists that I have seen run triple Valkyries, which is a relatively specific module (though trip Valks does show up with other casters) and I was trying to take minimizing purchases into consideration. So you have options, it is really which direction do you think you want to take it in.

Rask is much better as he fixes many of the issues that Wwff beast heavy has. However there is an interesting maelock list I want to try out. The list revolves around delivering an incorporeal brine to their caster.
