With the way debuffs work and the attachment making a unit FF, mercs look very strong in this faction.

I think a unit of halbardiers with the attachment is a VERY potent option for a low cost. They hit hard and accurately, threaten a decent way and with "super tough" for a round they could reach the fight in numbers. Add in buffs like Transmutation and they seem bananas. My first though was forge guard, and they hit even harder obviously, but halbardiers being DEF 17 against charges under Syvestro, and hitting at POW 15 just seem to be way above their weight class.

I wonder if Press Gangers would be any good, Crucible lacks any Advance Deploy infantry, so Press Gangers could provide that. Tough with no KD is always good, +2 STR from the Dr and Gang makes them effective P&S 13. They take Transmute really well, def 15 tough no KD, and Ps15 attacks with Pathfinder

Seems really good on paper, but for a point less I think I'd rather have halberdiers with Sgt. Nick.

That's not an issue for me, as I don't like Ragman, but I'm an ignorant heathen. Point taken.

So it's a known interaction that could be quite good.

Interesting that with dibray as your solo in magnum plus you could get +2 to start roll.
Not sure if that is worth the sole merc slot or not, but that is a solid chance at winning start roll.
I've noted elsewhere the very strong interaction between Morley and hhfg, buoyed further by caster choice , in particular Lukas, syvestro and gearhart.
I actually like gearharts kit with them as he can augment their armor on approach and their threat, though the other two mitigate their defense from atrocious to decent and their hitting power.

Going on memory but I think opus only grants repo to cg solos. Gonna be hard to go back to repoless Rahman, heh.

Anastasia basically always gets in my lists in Mercs, but I'm not sure that CG is shaping up to be a faction that seems so dependent on going first. Still, definitely worth noting.

I think that if you play something really fast like Syvestro with a Vulcan and go first that is a real power move. Run that thing 16" and flip the clock. There is a huge threat factor there that you have to play around. Meanwhile your other things try to catch up.
