I foresee major amounts of whining coming about the Combat Alchemists. People lost their minds over Garrity, and their brand of upkeep hate is easily as bad.
Also, Forge Guard with Dr. Morely and either +2 ARM with Morray or an additional +2 STR from Syvestro is gonna be fun times.

My first hot take was the light jack with the Grievous Wounds spray seems ridiculously powerful. People thought the Trencher Express Team was good with boosted attack ranged Grievous, now it's on a light jack chassis with a spray of all things. You don't even need the Vulcan for mass Grievous

The Combat Alchemist dispel is a RNG6 critical effect. Not too worried about that one.
There seem to be a lot of rules with different hats on. There's Stealth that's not Stealth so you can't eyeless/true sight it, Grievous Wounds that is not grievous Wounds so it hits huge bases. Alyce's ability is worded to avoid RFP effects and the like. Seems lazy, (although that last one seems similar to Dragoon)
Their medium infantry seems very very good compared to other factions.
Jacks are poor in stats but have a lot of nice rules. Tricky to see how they'll pan out.

How does CG beat Hordes? I get the Rust thing against wmh, but what are they supposed to use against hordes? How does CG beat gunlines? Nemo3 or Vlad1 seem to be poised to table them. How does CG beat immunes that stop their effect from going off? Yeah, colossal. Will you commit a colossal to kill one random ebdt?

Well, the Dragon's Breath rocket has a non-construct Rust and tough remover on a 4" AoE, and they have Grievous Wounds on a stick
Their medium infantry is kind of invulnerable to guns, and they can have the Rocketeers hide behind terrain and then fly to engage from 18" away. They can also be DEF 18 and have dodge whilst doing it, in theory. Their Bombardier dudes are RNG16 and ARM 20, they can probably just outshoot you
And almost everything seems to have three different attacks, so unless it is the EBDT immunities won't cover everything

Can we get a link for those of us who don't CiD?

Sure, see if this works: cid.privateerpress.com/filedata/fetch?id=68792As an aside, and I don't mean to sound like an arse, but why not just make an account? You don't have to participate at all, I've been part since the first one and all I've ever done is steal Concept Art.

Hot takes:
Warcasters I like the look of Syvestro a lot. Real toolboxy, just my kind of dude. Does pretty much everything and supports combined armies well.
Lukas is thematically fun (playing a junkie). Feat turn could be pretty damn over the top: FOC 8 with a bajillion Focus (because damage doesn't matter when you win) could mean Disintegration and Clouds everywhere. Need to see, but strong.
Baldwin looks like a riot. I want to play him with the medium based infantry and 'jack support. Not too over the top, though.
Locke is ridiculous. I see her getting nerfed, especially in Convergence. She's all about dem 'jacks.
Mackay looks really strong, but has 19 WJP and I personally worry about her survivability. Her army will be smaller. Needs the Magnum Opus theme because she is going to get shot like crazy the second she spends Focus.
Warjacks
Overall, good. They have very high damage potential and lots of synergies mitigated by pretty ish baseline survival stats. If you get the jump on them, they crumble.
Vanguard in Magnum Opus is good. Really the only source of Shield Guard in the army. Outside of that theme, meh.
Retaliator has a cloud removing/crit KD spray. I like him. He's a little pricey for how squishy he is but he has great tech. Solid inclusion in most lists.
Liberator is great. Unstable arc node kind of sucks, but it gives you at least two turns of Arcing, which is about what you normally get anyway. He is resilient and it is not hard to get him up to POW 17.
Toro is amazing. 13 point POW 18 beater with a shield and counter charge. Not going to make every list because he's singularly one dimensional in a faction with multi-use models, but he will perform when he is.
Vindicator is really good and pretty much bananas with Locke. Extremely strong ranged piece into Warmachine. I see this one getting nerfed a bit.
Suppressor is also really good with a lot of utility and some pretty weeny melee to back it up.
Vulcan is again really good with tons of utility, but folds once melee closes. It is not durable for a Colossal. Focus on that right side!
---
I've glanced at the infantry and support but not enough to get some real good analysis in yet. Across the board I saw good stuff but nothing screaming out at me as really over the top. This is a real overlapping synergy faction, so I need to get some things on the table to see what happens before I make judgments.

smoothcriminal hocestbellumThere was also a change to how immunities function; they're just one less die now (still no continuous effects, generally immune to scather stuff)

rng 16 (aiming), AoE3 Pow 14 | arcing fire | high explosive
on heavy infantry with carapace to sit at arm 20 vs ranged damage.
That be bonkers.

You know, unless you're also arm20+, dig in, have a trench, or can charge that far. Turns out that's not an insignificant portion of what's already being taken.

You don't have to participate at all, I've been part since the first one and all I've ever done is steal Concept Art. Something about having to get approved to be on a site where all I'll do is lurk tweaks my whiskers. Also as a Skorne player, this is the first CiD where I've had more than a passing interest. So if no one posted stuff before, oh well. I'm moderately interested in CG as a second (real) faction, but they're competing against Cygnar and Mercs (It's possible that I'll embrace all possibilities as they share models).

In that case I'll see about keeping the CG subforum up to date in case you wanna see. So far I can see Locke being dialed back, probably the Stormtroopers. The rest seems ok.
