Dropped my Kraye list into a PSorcha dude spam list, with Beast-09 and Juggernaut. He also ran a ton of Winter Guard stuff. I felt a bit bad, the only thing that could crack my armor were his Jacks, and he kinda saw that as shot after shot, and mortar after mortar pinged off. Kraye Squire Centurion Stormclad Hammersmith Hammersmith Charger Defender JR Charger ARlan Long Gunner Infantry I assassinated her on top of three. I softened her up with the Chargers, moved my Hammersmith twins out of the way, popped feat, and shot her w/Kraye. If Kraye would have failed, the Centurion was right around the corner to finish her off. He left her in a precarious spot, behind a building, but not tight enough to have LOS blocked, nor gain cover. At the time the scenario score was 1-0, and would have been 3-0 at turns end. Beast -09 destroyed my Stormclad, and the Widow makers made short work of the Long Gunners. In all fairness, I went first, he set up his Widow Makers on the same side as the Long Gunners, so they were in his range at the top of his turn. He didn't miss on his shots, I stood still, aimed, and double shotted...I missed two. I am not loving the Long GUnners, and will probably switch them out after another game or two. They haven't done much, and Meks may be better.

I am not loving the Long GUnners, Don't be surprised, they might as well not exist, along with Stormguard

You need to test them against a list they can apply the feat... I assume that's the idea behind them?

You need to test them against a list they can apply the feat... I assume that's the idea behind them? I have them in for three reasons: 1. Feat turn 2. Take a zone /contest a zone 3. Force the opponent up closer to my Jack line by putting fire on them from distance. I do like the range, and the aim for extra shot.

Thanks, man. I played against a guy that has about the same amount of experience I do. I told him he may want to look into a caster drop to crack ARM for these type of lists. It was nice to get my first win since coming back, and really having Kraye click. I felt in my tourney I missed two assassinations.

They will turn up in CID eventually, you just have to believe in it! The Longgunners do have a niche in HM, but they are just so much worse than their trencher counterparts. Its very saddening indeed.

Long Gunners already went through CID, and they got changed, but just went sideways instead of getting any better.
I'll always remain baffled why PP decided Trencher Long Gunners needed to be just straight better, not only in their pure stats and abilities but with all the "trencher" synergies they get in Grave Diggers.
Stormguard need some love too, at the very least in a Storm Division theme benefit. The Armored Corps theme allows a huge amount of flexibility in its advance move benefit, but in Storm Division only Storm Blades get Advance Move, when Stormguard are clearly the defensive front line unit, with either Set Defense or Polarity Field. It makes no sense.
