Hi friends, I'm thinking of expanding the Protectorate All-in-one army box that I bought and while I have some ideas, I'm at a total loss for thinking what kind of Warjacks I want to take. The AIO box comes with Vice Scrutator Vindictus, who looks to be fairly good on paper for an infantry caster, but with only 6 Focus, 3 upkeeps and 1 cost 3 spell (True Path) it seems he will not have much, if any, focus to spend on warjacks.
The AIO box comes with two sanctifier kits and a redeemer (that seems like it's best suited elsewhere). I only have experience with Khador, not Protectorate, so what kind of warjacks does Vinny D want/need?

min warjack points, basically. While it goes slightly over, Sanctifier+Reckoner isn't a bad start with the AIO, with the sanctifier fueling itself and giving you incorp hate and the reckoner pairing well with Juviah Rhoven for eyeless sight and being a pretty good beatstick.

I've run: 3 crusaders 2 crusaders and a devout 2 reckoners

If you run him in "Guardians of the Temple" theme, then Sanctifiers can pretty decent. Self fuelling, and they strip incorporeal which can open up some matchups.
Otherwise, probably a 2 Reckoners is the way to go, although, a Reckoner + Guardian can be very useful for making the hot swapping of spells easier.

if you don't use theme, i think eot is great with vindi. you even needn't choir. a adomination or defend ward EOT is hard to kill, and ps18 is enough to kill lot's of heavy with one or two examplar guys help devout is good with vindi too. 13 18, in the 5 or 6 round with dw is 15 20, hard to kill too. and vindi must front in battle, so devout gives very great protect SoH beat hard——harder than every other our jacks, needn't choir, and could protect other model. excellent, but itself is easy to kill, and need much focus
if you use theme (KE theme! 5.24! I can't wait), i think these is good: templar could protect other model, hard to kill, ps 17 is solid, and chain weapon could kill some model that examplar can't kill, like skn 24arm shieldwall or gymkin pig crusader is cheap and beat hard. it's a good second wave attack after errant and venger charge last turn sanctifier is cheap, fast, and needn't your warcaster give them focus. they are good with errant. but ps 16 is soft sometimes. remerber you haven't damage bonus reckoner buff atks, ps 17 is solid vigilant could protect your warcaster
i will chose: without theme: EOT and devout, no choir EOT and SOH, choir or no choir both ok SOH and Templar, choir or no choir both ok
with theme crusader*2 and devout, with choir templar*2, choir or no choir both ok templar, devout*2, choir templar and sanctifier, choir templar and reckoner, choir or no choir both ok devout, vigilant and redeemer, choir

Doesn't really build off the stuff you have, but I like to run Blood of Martyrs and Fire of Salvation. Vindi wants to run infantry, particularly weapon master spam. Your opponent will want to kill a few off before you get the charge in, and this will trigger both jack's movement shenanigans.

I play a lot of Vindictus, and my default battlegroup in the past has been
Crusader Reckoner Redeemer Vigilant/Devout (depending on the list and the matchup)
It worked fairly well, but I'm going to be branching out and trying different battlegroup setups in the future because this one has gotten really stale for me.

Reckoner + Guardian + either a Devout or Vigilant Really want to focus on infantry with him overall.
Being able to have moving cover or the shield guard is highly useful. My meta has a few Retribution players that are running the triple colossal list with that dang tractor beam so shield guard is almost mandatory here.

In my experience, sanctifiers, reckoners, or defensive jacks. he has no focus to spare, so he's got to use the efficient machines. Never skip choir, blasts can still target them to hit troops on feat.

Our character jacks are really good and like infantry near them, perfect for Vindictus.
