Hi fellows, I have gotten some skorne models a while back and thinking about finally making a list of them. The core of my collection is the 2017 army box, but I have also the two player battle box and some single models. So my collection looks as following:
warlocks: xekaar1 makeda1 rasheth1 mordikaar1
beasts: titan gladiator 2x magnetized titan set cyclops savage cyclops raider basilisk krea argonizer
units: max beasthandler max swordsmen + UA max karax + UA swordsmen/keltarii (not assembled yet)
solos: orin midwinter (minion) Mortitheruge Willbreaker
Given the amount of praetorian units I own, I would prefere to play in that theme (also I loke their look). Is there any playable list build from that models? I don't mind making some purchases, but I would prefere not go like "get makeda2 and 2 units of ferox" or buy double turtly and play in winds of death. The list is not ment for tournament play, so it doesn't need to handle all the meta and stuff.

A quick an dirty response (all I can manage atm) is that Rasheth is the obvious turd polisher, and can work well in MoW. Makeda1 has natural synergy.
Mordikaar however might ve more interesting, but would require supplemental purchases. We are all waiting here to see competetive Mordikaar lists develop.
As purchases go, at least one Archidon is a core faction staple. A single Bronzeback follows, if only to maximize your potential with a Titan herd. The magnetized kits is a good call, I particularly like the Sentry in this edition.

Makeda1 Molik Karn (purchase) Gladiator Scarab Pack (purchase)
Willbreaker Max Keltarii Max Swordsmen +UA Legends of Haalak (purchase) Tyrant Commander + Standard (purchase/free in list) Max Karax + UA (free in list) Min Beast Handlers (I assume you've got them from the box)
It's a perfectly serviceable list with relatively little that needs buying, for relatively cheap.

Thank you for the responses this far.
I would also love to see a good mordikaar list. I love the model (was my fist purchase after 2pbb and army box).
Tha Makeda list looks pretty cool. I will definately try it out! The purchases are absolutely doable. Molik Karn, Legends of Haalak and Tycomm + standard seem to be models that are used a lot and thus good extentions to my collection. Scarab Pack seems to be less favoured by the community (or am I wrong here?) but I guess the shieldguard + carapace make them viable in makeda1 lists? Anyway they only cost 18,50€ so what can go wrong (oh boy where does this hobby take me, when I start feeling like that is cheap^^). Do you have any tipps for the list what I should concider when playing it or what the specific tasks of the different models are?

They're not particularly good with most other warlocks but they're really good with makeda1.4 shield guards with carapace for 10 points is pretty good.
That said I believe the main reason people don't run the is because they're hands down the hardest models to put together in warmachine. Each scarab is like 9 pieces and it's the size of a fingernail.
