I'm going to be starting a small collection specifically for Company of Iron, and I'm thinking about the following (designed for theme and fun rather than strict competitiveness)
Company of Iron Army
Minions - Thornfall Chop Shop
24 / 25 Army Hand Size: 9
Warbeast Handlers - Commander Upgrade
Agata, Queen of Carnage - Commander - PC: 5 - Razor Boar - 2 Razor Boars: 7 - Razor Boar
Swamp Gobber Chef - PC: 1
Farrow Slaughterhousers - Leader & 5 Grunts: 11
---
GENERATED : 02/06/2018 11:59:54 BUILD ID : 2059.17-12-30
I've decided to call it the Thornfall Chop Shop, going for a butchery theme. I'll use green stuff to attempt to sculpt some ragged aprons and bits of meat and bone on all of the models, painted to look dirty and bloody. The idea is that Carver's army is running low on supplies, and he sends a scouting party out under Agata's command in order to restock their meat wagons! The Boars are the bloodhounds, tracking down their prey, Agata and the Slaughterhousers are there to chop it until it's not moving, and the gobber chef is in charge of the more surgical butchery!
Did I mention the Farrow aren't feeling too picky on exactly what they're going to be eating?
What do you think? I haven't played a single COI game yet, but I feel like this will be fun to model/convert a little, paint, and be pretty thematic if I can do it right.

I like the idea. No idea how competitive the list will be, but I expect you'll enjoy playing it.

Agata is beyond phenomenal in Company of Iron, she may be able to carry a fair few games for you on her own. Frontline Commander is great for making her a nice 15/17 in melee, and try to play a defensive battle plan every round to just make her obnoxious. I had a game where in Round 2 she was 17/17, Round 3 she was 15/20, and Round 4 she was 15/17 with Defensive Strike. Face tanked her way through about 60% of an Idrian unit over the course of the game.
Slaughterhousers have a good mix of accuracy and damage dealing, but you might have a problem with them dying. At least you have Tough. I'm a fan of Commandos myself, because the combination of Prowl, Pathfinder, and AOEs has proven valuable in a lot of games, but I'm sure you can make Slaughterhousers do work. And that is one heck of a hand size. You're almost guaranteed a few cards that will keep your fragile models in play for a while.

I’ll be honest, I’ve yet to play a single game of COI.
Seeing the submissions for the “Create Your Company” , as well as some of Will Hungerford’s comments during a COI livestream convinced me that the most fun you can have with this game is to go balls-out with a theme, so that’s my plan!
I’m a tad concerned about low model count being a problem, but I don’t think any other Farrow unit fits my “butchering party” theme better than Slaughterhousers! Hopefully the extra cards and general reliability of my non-gobber models will let me hold my own!
I’m really excited about modeling and painting these guys, actually

With a fair few games under my belt, I 100% agree with the thematic idea. Bone Grinders are butchers too, though they suffer from all the same problems that Slaughterhousers do. Grievous Wounds is pretty neat though, for the -1 to opponent's casualty rolls and the ability to ignore Tough. That trade would give you four points, which could be a cool solo or something. But overall I think your list will function perfectly fine. You may be able to win games by just brute forcing your way through incoming fire using your enormous hand size and Agata

Also... Bone Grinders will get the ability to Repair and 'Jack Marshal in Company of Iron soon. You could have a Chop Shop on a host of levels.
