Anyone play any of these?
I'm a huge fan- I actually got my start in gaming when I was like 13 playing the 1976 Starship Troopers boardgame from Avalon Hill as well as Star Fleet Battles (still play that). I've playtested scenarios for Advanced Squad Leader (I even have my name as playtester credits in at least one product!). I go yearly to PrezCon and play some random tabletop wargames (I think this year we're going to sit down and play Blitz: A World at War).
So yeah, I love this genre of games, get new stuff from time to time (received the Great Game recently from Legion Wargames, covering Anglo-Russian diplomatic warfare in the mid-1800s), and always look to play.
So yeah, anyone else?

Mate's been cracking out Scythe (steampunk style-y pre-WWI alternate eastern Europe/western Asia) a few times, which has been fun. Lots of replay value due to the level of variation you can get in it (mostly in the economy type), so it's very difficult for one person/faction to consistently win (two sessions in a row, I won the first game, then tanked the second). It's not fully optimised yet, though, since you can end up in a get-resource-for-doing-nothing situation and we burned through the combat deck even before the first fight even happened. Excellent game either way.

I've played Scythe- it is a great time. I haven't used any of the expansions though. The art/ascetics of that game are amazing, and yeah- the game play is top notch!

I wouldn't call Scythe ascetic, quite the opposite, the components' quantity and quality is very good for a board game. And it's an interesting game indeed although there's a chance actual war will never happen A quasi-wargame I'd recommend 100% is Imperial (or its 2030 version which is a little bit better, IMO, with more balance and a more interesting map). I love the simple , excellent mechanics and unorthodox gameplay in those games. They are not that much about war, though, even though players spend a lot of time producing and moving units. An out of the box mindset is really needed for this one, and that's why it gets my respect As for the mix of politics and war I certainly recommend the Game of Thrones board game. Just don't play with the optional combat cards which put unnecessary, disappointing randomness in it's excellent combat system. I have only one problem with the game and it's the imbalanced map (oh , those poor Lannisters in the middle!). Other than that both gameplay and theme are top notch, rewarding and immersive!

That said, I'm kind of excited for the upcoming game with artwork by the same artist (Jakub Rozalski): Iron Harvest, which looks like the VG counterpart to Scythe at first blush. More stress on the war than the resources, but eh... love the look of it.
