Tbh, I'd start by changing the caster Feat costs him his initials, tramples 10"+Reach or Walks 7"+Reach, little to no souls... it's a nightmare. I'd reach for lanyssa who can probably catch a few safely and remove their pathfinder from Mobility and I'd go for cheap souls. I think you need to leverage the kill based of two hellmouths and Wyrds gunning for Amon.

What caster would you play if it had to be Bones, then? I'm super keen to try out my new list, but I'm open to any other mad genius. Lanyssa is a really, really interesting shout with him.

I used Mohsar to face Amon last year, I was comfortable with that match. Slaughterhousers is my favorite unit with him, cracking armor better than most of our options.
Wyrds would work with your strategy with the hellmouth, so it might not be that disastrous. But it's a list that won't work against other casters.
I am using also Wurmwood with Bones right now, focusing on wardens and a fulcrum to fight armor spam. Still learning it, so I can't give any advice sorry.

You don't think Krueger2 can take Amon down? I think he does even less than Wurmwood? Fortify is really good yo. To be more specific: I think Krueger can definitely do a lot vs Amon, neither caster gets to use 100% of their kit vs him, but I think Wurmwood gets to do more. I think Krueger would have game if I went with an all guns build, but I feel like vs the majority of the field Wurmwood fields it better (because CoS). I could be wrong, and time will tell!

Got a batrep with the new Wurmwood list! I decided to try out some Croak Raiders, at the suggestion of a couple people. I do think it fits this weird version of the list better, and the ability to take Void Leeches makes them a lot of souls for the cost (and situationally it's good matchup tech!). So, my list was: Wurmwood -Megalith -Woldwyrd -Woldwyrd -Woldwyrd -Woldwyrd -Woldwatcher 10 Croak Raiders w/3 Void Leeches Sentry Stone & Mannikins Sentry Stone & Mannikins Shifting Stones Shifting Stones Blackclad Wayfarer Blackclad Stoneshaper Gremlin Swarm 75 I really liked this list on paper, but was curious how it'd hold up against serious armour. Thankfully my opponent played Trolls and was keen to try some Doomy3. So, wish granted! Doomshaper3 -Trollkin Runebearer -Mountain King -Mulg the Ancient -Dire Troll Bomber -Troll Axer Max Krielstone Bearer & Stone Scribes w/UA Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew Northkin Shaman Northkin Shaman 75 So I won first turn and opted to take first, because I was fairly sure regardless of side I could abuse the house on the table. My opponent took the side that wouldn't have to deal with a huge forest and we were off! I forgot photos until after the end of my first turn so bear with me a bit. My turn one was pretty simple, with my Shaper spraying down 3 Void Leeches (had a feeling I'd need the Fury next turn what with Arcane Vortex on Mulg) and 2 Mannikins. Otherwise my stuff ran up, Wurmwood Dark Pathed and dropped a spooky forest and my Watcher walked up and used Stone Form. Stuff steered well clear of the Bomber and MtK's threat with Rush. Ignore the models and stuff my opponent is moving, like I said, I took this photo late. So, my opponent walked up his cloudmaking models and made clouds. Doomy put up Implacibility and dumped a tonne into the Stone. The MTK got Rush and charged my Watcher, assaulting it for some damage. Rude. Otherwise stuff ran up! Well, I spots me an overextended Bomber. Good thing I have 10 Fury! My Stones ported Wurmwood up the table. Wurmwood activated, dropped an Undergrowth, Curse of Shadows onto the Bomber and a Rapid Growth connected to the forest in the centre of the table. My Croaks walked up and blew the Bomber to kingdom come. My Mannikins killed a Mannikin and an overextended Croakie. My Wyrds ran around a bit. My left hand Mannikins ran to engage the MtK and to block his trample lane. My Gremlin swarm got onto my flag and into my zone. Everything else just gave the MtK a wide berth. Cassius ran behind the forest for safety. My opponent had a plan to deal with the left hand zone. He had his Runebearer walk up and gat the Mannikin blocking a trample spot for the MtK to death with a Stranglehold. The MtK got Rush and trampled up to my flag, then used Rage and beat my poor Watcher to death, using Kill Shot onto a Wyrd, Megalith and a Shifting Stone, inflicting heavy damage to all of them and killing the Stone. A Shaman walked up to my zone, and cast Freak Storm, getting shot by 2 Wyrds but passing Tough >:. Mulg trampled up to Megs and Doomy feated and put a Stranglehold into Megalith, damaging him successfully. So, we have a plan! Seeing as our Gremlin stopped our opponent scoring (god that model is good), we want to take a strong scenario lead and feat on top to make it as hard as possible for my opponent to recover. I started off with my oily frogmen, who oiled up the Objective and took it to 4 boxes, as well as killing the knocked down Shaman. A Wyrd rocked up and murdered the Objective. A Mannikin killed the Gobber leader (taking Wurmwood to 2 Souls). My Gremlin Swarm moved over to make my opponent's Krielstone have to walk as far over as possible from the zone I was taking over. An aiming Mannikin on the left side knocked down the Runebearer and killed a Stone Scribe, then the Sentry Stone ported away and made a forest, which was a mistake, it should have made a forest and then sat behind it. A Wyrd walked up and killed the Runebearer then missed 2 shots on the Shaman. Cassius ran to be within 8" of the Mountain King. Wurmwood put Curse of Shadows on the MtK, went for a boosted Hold and failed to damage, then dragged Cassius back to him and feated. Megalith Strangleheld the MtK and succeeded, then walked outside of 10" to not get sprayed. The Shaper walked up and repaired Megalith a little. My Blackclad walked up and Phase Shifted onto the enemy flag. My Stones made a triangle around Wurmwood or got into annoying places. All said and done, I scored 3, taking the score to 3-0! My opponent is feeling the pressure here. The MtK ate a whelp. The Shaman I missed twice ran onto my flag. The Krielstone ran to within 10" of my Gremlin Swarm and stripped Incorp. The Mountain King murdered my Gremlin Swarm, but it took it 4 Fury. Mulg trampled towards my caster, but only had 2 Fury on him for Arcane Vortex. Otherwise stuff mostly durdled because Wurmwood feat is still insanely powerful. Alright well, kill Mulg and win, fail and lose I think. I dropped everything as I had a plan for all 9 Fury. Megalith walked to within 5" of Mulg and 10" of the MtK. Cast Undergrowth and failed to break armour on the MtK with Stranglehold. I contested my own zone & flag with a Mannikin. Cassius ran into Mulg's back arc. Wurmwood cast Curse of Shadows twice, getting through Arcane Vortex, and then missed the 4 he needed on 2d6. Ruh roh. So, my Wyrd walked into Mulg's butt to stop him walking back towards the Krielstone with his Primal rage. Then 4 Wyrds and a unit of Croaks managed to put Mulg in the dirt, thanks to Undergrowth, Gunfighter and fanning all around him to get some back strikes no matter which way he turned. I also ported stones into melee with him to stop him moving as much. Mulg did kill a Croak though. When he died, my opponent conceded. Loving this list so far! It's so fun! So much AD! Really enjoyable to play. So far seems to be able to deal with armour but does crutch on CoS a bit. Looking forward to more games with it. Thanks for reading.

Time for another report! Playing my Wurmwood again, against my friend Andrew testing out some of the new Khador CID stuff. He had: Sorscha3 -Berserker -Berserker -Berserker -Berserker Max Shocktroopers w/UA Max Bombardiers w/UA Max Demo Corps w/UA Arcanovich & Standard Strike Tanker Strike Tanker MoW Kovnik MoW Kovnik 75 I won the roll for first and my gave me the side I wanted, which was lovely. We spoke after the game and he regretted it, but said the rocks on the other side of the table weren't much better for his list. We deployed and my opponent AM'd the 3 full units of MoW and Sorscha herself. So I got first. Murdered my usual 3 Leeches and 2 Mannikins, Dark Pathed the tree into a forest, made a forest connected to the ridiculous building and ran up as aggressively as I could. The plan was to force a bottom of 1 feat from Sorscha. The Watcher put up Stone Form and was out of my control but I had a Stone near him. My opponent did indeed feat, seeing as I was already set up for an alpha (having 75% of your list AD is sweet, by the way). He rolled a 3 on the D3 and dropped 6 clouds, tough went on the Shockies and otherwise everything bunkered up as best as it could. Well, I definitely didn't need to kill all 3 of my Leeches on turn 1. Woops. I ran Cassius to have a bead on the rightmost Berserker, sprayed a Mannikin with a Mannikin, putting some superficial damage into some MoW. The Mannikins on the right sprayed a Kovnik in the butt, doing 4 points to him and 1 to a tanker. The Tree got ported into the middle of the table and dropped a CoS onto the Shocktroopers through the clouds, which missed. He did it again, hit, and dropped a forest on top of the 2 Berserkers on the right to further inhibit movement into the right hand zone then feated. Everything else shimmied defensively. My aim was to deny him any CPs this turn which didn't seem particularly difficult. Oh, I ran a Croak Hunter into a cloud to get a soul for Wurmwood. Worth noting that here I had an option to run Cassius and go for Strangleholds on Dragovich to kill him, which was potentially worth it but I wasn't expecting the Demo Corps to be much of a threat this game, seeing as I only had one really valuable model in my list for them to get onto. Well, Wurmwood feat time. Sorscha and her mans valiantly durdled forwards. The jacks ran, she camped 6. A Tanker killed a Mannikin. Shockies stayed back a bit to deny me value from hotswapping Curse of Shadows. The Demo Corps minifeated, and the Bombardiers used their Pathfinder on advances combined with Desperate Pace to get into my zone. Alright well, the durdlemans had finally durdled to their destination, the zones! Wurmwood upkept Curse of Shadows on the Shocktroopers but dropped his Forest. The right hand Mannikins aimed and sprayed down some MoW, killing the frontmost Mannikin while doing it. The Blackclad Wayfarer walked up and sprayed down the line too. Then my right hand Wyrd walked up and rolled absolutely horrifically. When the smoke had cleared I'd killed 2 Bombardiers and put 6 damage into a Shocktrooper. Megalith advanced, cast Undergrowth and threw a Stranglehold at the right hand Berserker, which also missed. My dice were not kind this game, and Sorscha's permanent Concealment aura was doing good work. Cassius ran to the back of the forest near my zone, just to stay safe. Wurmwood activated, moved Curse of Shadows onto the Demo Corps, threw a Stranglehold at Dragovich for some good damage (which got moved around with the minifeat) and then dropped a Rapid Growth to keep the models in my zone safe. The Stone triangle he was in ported him back into the forest in my zone. My Croaks, Wolds and left hand Mannikins all shot as efficiently as they could, wiping out the Demo Corps, damaging a Shock Trooper and leaving 2 Bombardiers on low health, Oiled and on fire. I really did roll quite poorly this round, but I think the matchup was good enough that I could get away with it. My left hand Sentry and the Gremlin got into prime contesting positions. At the end of the turn I had cleared out my zone & the centre and scored 2 CPs, taking it to 2-0. I forgot to photograph this turn, but my opponent saw the writing on the wall. He had to make something happen, so Sorscha allocated some focus, charged one of my Shifting Stones and threw her Winter's Grasp at a Croak Hunter, killing it, killing another, freezing one more, 2 stones and a Wyrd. She killed the Stone she charged. The left hand Tanker put some damage into my Watcher and applied Grievous Wounds. The Shocktroopers charged in, killing another Croak and putting some minor damage into my Watcher, on the right hand side the Shocktroopers killed a Shifting Stone, freeing up a lane for the Berserker. The Berserker charged my Wyrd and took out 2 Aspects, but didn't explode. The right hand Tanker put Grievous Wounds into Megalith and did a lot of damage to him. Otherwise models ran. Forgot the photo, sorry. Score still 2-0 to Circle. Well, my opponent had extended Sorscha so it was go time. I leeched Fury & used Serenity, leaving 2 Fury on the Wold that was down an Aspect even after theme healing (left spirit out seeing as it had 2 Fury on it anyway). The Stationary Wyrd shook. Wurmwood went to 10 Fury. Megalith trampled over my Stone and 2 Croaks, killing both croaks, and cast Undergrowth before throwing a Stranglehold at Sorscha which bounced. My Watcher advanced and threw a Shocktrooper at my opponent's objective, which with laser 0 deviation throws hit Sorscha, knocking her down and dealing some damage to the Shocktrooper. Cassius ran to within 8 of Sorscha. Croaks got out of the way, as they were engaged. Wurmwood put a CoS into Sorscha through Cassius, then a Hellmouth which he boosted on her and on the Shocktrooper, killing the Shocky and dealing 3 to Sorscha. The Shaper pulled a Fury off the Wyrd that shook Stationary. Then we had a KD'd Sorscha with CoS on her in range of 3 Wyrds with 0 Fury, 3 Mannikin sprays, a Wayfarer spray and 3 Mannikin charges. Wasn't looking great for her, and she died to the 2nd Wyrd! Victory to the Circle! Woo! I do think this was a bad matchup for Sorscha, and my opponent was playing some of the lesser used models in the AC CID. But I do think this kind of control & strong medium shooting is the kind of thing the Armoured Corps will be bad against, even in a list loaded up with AMing Drakhuns with double Suppression Tankers I think Wurmwood would be favoured. Vlad2 might be scary, I want to get some reps in vs that list. Thanks for reading!

How come you kill two manikins early on? So you can place them in formation next turn? I personally throw mine wildly up the table just in command to roger bait my opponent into killing it or remind him of the threat. I don’t think killing them yourself is meccesary but it’s to get the best aim + spray position in the following turn.

So I have been playing some Kromac2 with a Croc Pot on and off for a bit of fun. I played a game with him tonight vs Una2 with a Storm Raptor and a bunch of birdies.
At the end of the game the kill count for my army looked like this:
Lord of the Feast: 2 Shifting Stones
Warpwolf Stalker B: 2 Shifting Stones
Wild Argus: Scarsfell Griffon Gallows Grove
Feral Warpwolf: Storm Raptor
Kromac2: Scarsfell Griffon x5 Gorax Rager Blackclad Wayfarer Gallows Grove 2 Shifting Stones
Game ended with Kromac, a Stalker, LotF and Argus left on the table vs Una2, a Wilder and a Gorax, at 7-7 on CPs with Una having to try to oneround a full hp Stalker for the Scenario win.
It's pretty fun having your warcaster do considerably more work than any other model in your army. If you guys haven't tried Kromac2 with a croc pot yet I highly recommend it. I keep thinking he's not as good as Una2 or Kaya3 then every time I play him he just completely takes over the lategame.

Today I played a game of Kromac2 vs Ossrum, we rolled among the new scenarios and landed on Recon 2. So, we racked up! My list: Call of the Wild Kromac2 -Ghetorix -Warpwolf Stalker -Warpwolf Stalker -Feral Warpwolf -Scarsfell Griffon -Wild Argus Boil Master & Spirit Cauldron Shifting Stones Lord of the Feast Blackclad Wayfarer Blackclad Wayfarer Gremlin Swarm My opponent's list: (to the best of my memory) The Irregulars General Ossrum -Driller -Gunner -Gunner -Gunner -Blaster 10 Horgenhold Forge Guard Horgenhold Artillery Crew Eiryss1 Rutger Shaw -Talon Thor -Avalancher Taryn di la Rovissi Siege Crawler I won the roll for first turn, and opted to take first. My opponent took the side with the clearest channels into the zones, which gave me a forest in the middle of my army and a big obstruction near my flag I was quite happy about, considering Eiryss1 was on the table. I forgot to photo deployment, but we both deployed, my opponent advance moved his heavies and then we were off! I started off having most of my models run up the table. The Cauldron generated a corpse token which it gave to Kromac. Kromac put Vengeful on Ghetorix and Awakened Spirit on the Feral, then charged the Siege Crawler. Everything else ran, for the most part, respecting the substantial threat ranges on display. In terms of the scenario, because I had a Gremlin Swarm my plan was to keep it in the back of the left hand zone, while bunkering up behind the obstruction & linear obstacle on the right to secure and eventually completely collapse the right hand side, allowing me to score a reliable 2 a turn to my opponent's 1. My opponent decided that because I had toed his threat ranges so precisely he'd see what happened if he feated. Suddenly he could shoot nearly anything he wanted. Ossrum's feat caught everything (because it's a pulse for reasons?) and he cast Energizer and Snipe on the Avalancher. The Siege Crawler removed Stealth from my Stalker near my own objective and advanced towards the right hand zone, deviating some aoes onto my Griffon to no avail. I sure forgot that that was a rule that model has. The Avalancher got tuned up from Thor, Marshalled for +2 Rat and shot my Stalker, rolling a 15 for damage (a theme of this game), killing one Blackclad and leaving the other standing. Importantly though, both were knocked down. Irritatingly I forgot a photograph here, but my Stalker was also shot by the Artillery and I believe another Gunbunny, surviving on a handful of boxes. Otherwise, my opponent moved his pieces up somewhat aggressively but still largely outside of my threat ranges. Eiryss shimmied off to the side so as not to be near anything the Lord of the Feast could get at, same with the Jack Marshals. A Bunny moved to the extreme of Ossrum's control on the right, to blow up a stone and deny the LotF a teleport raven play. Ghetorix took some damage from a couple Gunbunnies. I forgot a photo, so I apologise. In terms of the scenario at this point I'm still feeling mostly alright with my plan. Play very cagily on the left flank with my more resilient pieces and aim to completely take over the left. The feat being out of the way so early means I can just play safely and aim to put my plan into action in subsequent turns. Alright well, that wasn't so bad really. My opponent opted not to ram things down my throat which, as a mainly Krueger2 player, is what I'm used to from Ossrum because Kromac wouldn't stand for that nonsense, as a result I had a lot more board space to work with than I'm used to in this matchup. What sucked was I had a Wolf that was nearly dead, thankfully we can deal with that. My Objective healed my Stalker for 3. I upkept 2. Mostly this turn my army shimmied. My Scarsfell slammed the rightmost Gunbunny out of Ossrum's control range and cast Elusive. Kromac walked onto the flag and cast Spiny Growth. Ghetorix cast Spiny Growth, Regenerated and timidly advanced. The Feral warped for Armour and did the same. My Stalker warped Prowl and retreated more than 3" into the forest he was in, forcing to Regenerate for another 3. My Shifting Stones used Healing Field to heal it for another 2. My Pot advanced and rolled a 3 for Corpses, giving 2 more to Kromac. Otherwise my pieces moved defensively around, respecting the extremely mobile / non committal ranged threat of the Rhulic lights. I opted not to contest my opponent's flag, because the Gremlin Swarm was much more useful completely denying the left zone than going and getting killed trying to contest a flag. Well, I made a mistake here. Despite living in a world of premeasuring I had left my Feral about 0.2" too close to the Driller in the middle of the table. Thankfully, with Ossrum's feat gone that patch of Water on my opponent's side of the table was giving him fits. My opponent started off having the Avalancher aim and strike true, landing the rat 9 shot on my Feral, but dealing no damage. The Driller charged it and killed it from full, rolling some pretty crazy dice (charge roll was a 15 for damage, offhand was an 11!). Ouch, that smarts. Then Ghetorix died to 2 Gunbunnies, a Mortar and Eiryss1. Alright, well then. I guess sometimes dice happen. Taryn ran onto my opponent's flag, the Siege Crawler came into the right hand zone and a Blaster walked up to contest my flag and also shot my Griffon in the back for some damage. The bunny my Griffon had slammed stood up and walked back into the zone. My opponent went to 1-0. Attrition looking a lot worse, scenario plan still on the table. Kromac leeched up and had nothing left to upkeep. The Stones took 1 off of the Stalker, who was healed for 2 more by my objective. The Pot walked up, made some Corpses and filled up the Lord of the Feast. I started with Kromac, who walked up between the Blaster and Crawler and feated. He killed the Blaster and put 31 damage into the Siege Crawler before casting Lightning Strike and walking back onto the flag behind the rock. He healed my Stalker for 1. The Shifting Stones shifted to get out of the way of my Argus. My Argus charged the Driller in the butt and put about 15 damage into it, with a Combo and bought attack with a boosted damage roll. The Blackclad walked over to the right and put Hunter's Mark onto the Siege Crawler. My Griffon advanced up to the Bunny and boosted a Beak damage roll on it, but otherwise just rolled the claws, leaving it on a handful of boxes before casting Elusive. My Stalker activated, warped Prowl and used Hunter's Mark to charge the Crawler for free, getting within fist range of the Gunbunny. He killed the Crawler and the Warjack after spending 1 Fury and cast Lightning Strike for free, walking completely within the forest and toeing the zone. The other Stalker warped Prowl, walked up and killed the Driller after spending 2 Fury, cast Lightning Strike, regenerated and sprinted back into the forest to trigger Prowl. My Lord of the Feast advanced and threw a raven at a Forge Guard, leveraging his 3 corpses to kill 5 and importantly contest my opponent's flag. My Gremlin Swarm made sure it was outside 12" of Eiryss1 and 11" of Taryn, which it was. Alright, plan "take over the right hand zone" was well underway, and the score moved to 2-1 Circle. My opponent felt there was no way he'd be able to win scenario or attrition going forward in this gamestate, due to Circle's capability to murder any models my opponent had left on the table and run out of threat after doing so. So, he decided to go for an assassination. The Forge guard ran out the way. Thor, who had pathfinder granted to him by the objective, walked and tuned up the Avalancher. The Avalancher walked and shot a Shifting Stone next to Kromac (woops), knocking him down. Ossrum advanced and cast Snipe on Eiryss, then Energizer. He and Taryn managed to shoot down the LotF, who's melee zone was in a dangerous place. Eiryss advanced and landed the shot on Kromac, removing his fury but dealing no damage. Due to the rock, only one bunny was able to get the line, which dealt one damage to him. My opponent measured out running Rutger Shaw to Kromac and realised he couldn't get Shaw and the Talon in melee at the same time, and conceded. Victory to Kromac! This caster continues to impress me, he's much better and more capable on the table than he is in the dojo. Somehow when you play him on the table his limited threat ranges are less of an issue and his capability to personally mulch anything is much stronger. Also the Croc Pot is nuts with him. More testing needed but he continues to impress. I also posted this batrep of Recon 2.1 on the CID boards, where I strongly encourage you guys to go and submit your own feedback! cid.privateerpress.com/forum/battle-reports/battle-reports/battle-reports-streamroller-2018/67989-recon-2-recon-3-kromac2-vs-ossrum

Awesome report, if someone told me Kromac2 could beat Ossrum, I wouldn't believe it because of all the shooting, nice job! I am also planning to run him this Saturday for a local Steamroller, now I have a little more confidence that I might do well, if I don't make silly mistakes, which I usually do haha. I would love to see more reports with him if you can, please!

Wish granted! Another CID game, Kromac2 vs Damiano playing a really irregular irregular list. My opponent had gone all in on the flanking Freebooter dream. So I had: Call of the Wild Kromac2 -Ghetorix -Warpwolf Stalker -Warpwolf Stalker -Feral Warpwolf -Scarsfell Griffon -Wild Argus Boil Master & Spirit Cauldron Shifting Stones Lord of the Feast Blackclad Wayfarer Blackclad Wayfarer Gremlin Swarm 75 The Irregulars Captain Damiano -Rocinante -Buccaneer -Buccaneer Kayazy Eliminators Kayazy Eliminators Cobie -Freebooter Thor -Avalancher Rutger Shaw -Freebooter Dirty Meg -Freebooter Eiryss1 Taryn di la Rovissi 75 I lost the roll for first and my opponent took top side. Both objectives were the one that grants Pathfinder. We deployed and my opponent Advance Moved Rocinante and the Avalancher! I got first. Stuff ran up, the Feral warped for Speed and ran the whole way up to threaten as much as he could. My stuff hugged the forest to try and hide from the guns, or just stayed out of threat. The Pot gave Kromac 3 corpses. In my opponent's turn Eiryss Ghost Shotted a Blackclad and rolled the 8 to kill him, and Rocinante shot the other Blackclad and hit the 12, killing him too. Suddenly I didn't outthreat my opponent and the game was on. Otherwise, my opponent moved up and Sure Foot went down on Damiano. The Shield Guard models came around the 2 Marshals in the middle to protect from stray Ravens. Safe, boring turn from me here. Kromac upkept both, advanced to within 14" of Eiryss and outside the threat of the heavies in front of him, cast Carnage and Spiny Growth. The Griffon charged and killed Eiryss, taking a huge weight off of Kromac's shoulders. Otherwise my Gremlin got on my flag outside 11" of Taryn, models shimmied, the Feral warped Armour and stepped into my opponents zone, both Stalkers prowled and got into the forest. My stone triangle set up in the forest. LotF moved before the pot because I'm a bad player meaning the Pot just camped 4 corpses. My opponent had some work to do here! A Bucaneer got Deadeye from Damiano, advanced into my bird's butt and knocked him down. Lanyssa advanced to be in melee with the Griffon and cast Winter Storm, clipping both Stalkers and my LotF. A Freebooter broke my Griffon in half. Taryn advanced and put 2 Brutal shots into a stone, failing to damage it. The Eliminators on the right charged my Feral, dealing about a 3rd of its boxes and Sidestepping to contest my flag. The Avalancher and Rocinante shot my objective to death, KDing Kromac. The other Buccaneer knocked down Ghetorix. The Eliminators on the left ran into my zone and jammed Ghetorix. Eilish put Puppet Master on Ghetorix and got onto the flag. Otherwise things shimmied a bit. The score went to 2-0 to Mercs. Alright, it's gig time! Kromac dropped Awakened Spirit, upkept Vengeful and leeched. He and Ghetorix both paid 1 to stand up. Kromac started off the turn by feating, advancing up to the 2 Eliminators in the zone, Doppler Barking and killing them both before Sprinting back to a more relevant position for Carnage. He also healed with Death Feast. My Pot advanced, gave Puppet Master and 3 Corpses to the LotF. The Feral warped for Armour and killed Taryn and 2 Eliminators (mat 9 is sweet). The Shifting Stones in the forest ported up my Stalker who punched Lanyssa to death, killed the objective and in then in a freak storm of bad dice barely touched the Freebooter, which made my plan for the turn a little less likely. He sprinted away. The other Stalker walked up to the Freebooter, killing it and putting heavy damage into the Buccaneer (that guy has a lot of boxes for 6pts!) before sprinting away. Ghetorix charged into the red Buccaneer, killing it and Overtaking to spin around and hit Eilish. He cast Spiny Growth before he Overtook but after he Charged, so he took some damage from Eilish, woops! Rocinante missed his Defensive Strike and then lost about 3/4 of his boxes to Ghetorix. Finally, the Lord of the Feast advanced and threw a Raven at the yellow Freebooter, now that the nearby Shield Guard was dead, he missed and used Puppet Master to hit. Using Carnage and his 3 Corpses he killed Cobie and Rutger, and put some damage into the Freebooter. The score went to 3-2 to Circle. My opponent had a really angry Ghetorix in his face, and I had something of a Fury problem. So, Damiano walked up and feated. The Buccaneer and Meg finished off the LotF. The other jacks all ganged up on Ghetorix and murdered him. Eilish removed Vengeful before that happened and got on the flag. Meg's Freebooter Jury Rigged and slammed my Stalker out the right hand zone. Thor repaired Rocinante. The Score went to 5-3 Circle, as my flag and zone were uncontested. My Stalkers both Frenzied, one of them ate a Shifting Stone, the other took out my Argus' spirit, which was super annoying. I didn't think it was realistically possible for me to score 3 here, clearing my opponent's zone just wasn't feasible considering the frenzies. My Feral walked into the butt of the Freebooter and mulched it, he also regenerated. Kromac walked back to a nice safe location and healed my Argus, trying for 2 Primal Shocks into Meg, missing both. My Pot generated some Corpses and refuelled Kromac. My Dog walked up to Eilish, lost his spirit again when he Doppled and ate him. The score went to 7-3 Circle. Well in my opponent's turn stuff is getting real. Rocinante was repaired by Thor, then walked up to my Argus, cut him in half and Quick Worked onto my Pot, dealing some damage. The Avalancher also shot my Pot, taking it to 1 box! Whew, better lucky than good. The Avalancher Repo'd into my zone, the Buccaneer got repaired and ran around my Wolves to my flag. Damiano walked up to my Feral and shot him, triggering Hyper Aggressive. Woops! The score went to 7-4 Circle. Alright, fairly trivial cleanup here. Damiano was sitting near my Feral but I decided not to go for it, scenario seemed more likely. Kromac activated, cast Carnage and ripped the Freebooter in front of my Stalker to pieces, took a big chunk out of the Avalancher and then Sprinted to safety. The Pot refilled Kromac and gave my Stalker Puppet Master. The right hand Stalker killed the Buccaneer on my flag and Sprinted over. The Feral killed Meg. My other Stalker slammed the Avalancher, getting within 4" of the enemy Flag. The score went to 9-4 Circle! Circle win! Quite a quiet game from Kromac here, the Wolves did most of the lifting for once. Still, the new scenario felt cool if a little uninspired, it really was like playing StN2. I put it on the CID boards here: cid.privateerpress.com/forum/battle-reports/battle-reports/battle-reports-streamroller-2018/68412-2-flag-mirace-kromac2-vs-damianoSo if you have any feedback relevant to the SR CID please submit it on there. Otherwise, Kromac feels good. My opponent definitely was playing a janky not bleeding edge list, but it was cool to have my Warpwolves actually do somethign for a change instead of Kromac just putting the whole list on his back.
