Why? If there are multiple problems, with the tested dice that yours doesn't have then the rounded corners on yours doesn't make them worse. Really though we're guessing. If we had some of the problem dice it would be easier to test them for various problems. Yeah, i really want to get my hands on one of those dice How badly? I've got an old Chessex brick with dice like those described in the article. Last time I checked they rolled low. I might have the time to do 100 rolls on a few of the dice. I can send you any ones that turn out heavily biased.
