The model air line is great @soul Samurai, I highly recommend it. Little bit of flow improver and your golden (or whatever colour you want ) I asked Wolf specifically because he said "anything from Vallejo", so I just wanted to clarify, but I'm glad to know I wouldn't have to worry. Anyway, sorry if I'm pulling things off topic. Didn't actually realize model air was Vallejo. For some reason my brain was like herp derp that must be some other brand of paint. My local store's method is shelving doesn't help. Never used it can't say anything about. I think part of the problem is that I let paints sit for long times and I try to use them until I run out rather than buy new paint. Based on people said that might be the culprit. But even then other brands keep better.

I’ve got the entire line of model air and I bought them 5 or 6 years ago. They still worked fine a few months ago when I ran them through my airbrush.

I used army painter green for my gators which cut out a full after noon of basecoating, however this works for them because they are literally entirely green. Models with a variety of different colours don't work as well in my opinion.

Vantablack is not available, but Black2.0 is and is almost as good. I painted a warpwolf with it doing an Attack the Block theme. i.imgur.com/dW7hYb2.jpg

Okay, so, color theory. Additive vs Subtractive. Additive = Red Blue Yellow. White is not necessarily a color, but all colors in one, black is the absence of color so no color. Subtractive = Green Blue Yellow. the color you see is the color(s) not absorbed by an object. White is the reflection of all colors black doesn't technically exist (mind you this was 20 years ago so thing probably changed)...
Now, to get really good shadows, do not use a black, use a thinned out dark purple, for "shiny" surfaces use a brighter yellow that is transparent or with very little white.
Notes from a 1997 color theory class...the rest was painting in black and grey...I know odd..
