Hi all, I have messed around with this list for a while now but never had a blind Walker. That is until Christmas! Now I want to try this out for a steamroller, what are you thoughts? What to pair with it?

Some basic ideas: 2 units of ambush is a lot of fun, I've been doing it since this theme dropped and I love it. Is it good? Meh. Bit it's fun. Blind Walker is an arc nodes and therefore so is the shaman. Archidon gives Sprint, glad for rush, and battleboar turns anything into a threat. Gremlins are there for scenario.

Been thinking too about a Morghoul2 pair. My previous pair of Mak1/X2 was fun and I still probably would crutch on my Mak1 Cats and Swords list.
As a passing thought you might benefit from a mist speaker.
Choosing a pair you've got to consider what this list would hate to face.. funlines. I'd suggest techn'ing a counter funline list. Perhaps out funline them with a Fatty Winds list

I only have 1 turtle, so I was running a hexy 2 winds list that looks like this as my pairing
War Room Army
Skorne - hexy

I ran this because I like the quick assassination vectors that my beasts provide via arcnodes. I am not 100% sure on how arcing and eyeless sight work in mk3 but I run extoller and the wurm for eyeless sight arcing. Marketh offers another vector and extra shot on 2 very good offensive spells. Drake is for Animus and is actually awesome with swift Hunter and blind spot. (Granted that can be accomplished in fatty)
Can you give me any insight on how to better run a fatty winds list?

Hex 2 certainly is a good assassination caster. Rasheth gives IMHO a bit more attrition value but he can be tough on the clock with Winds. On the Mk3 eyeless sight interaction via channel battlecollege.org/index.php/Category:Channeler is a good summary. I'm going to give my Morghoul2/Rasheth lists a go tonight ********************************************* Theme: Disciples of Agony 2 / 2 Free Cards 75 / 75 Army 0 / 20 Specialist Lord Assassin Morghoul - WB: +29 - Blackhide Wrastler - PC: 16 (Battlegroup Points Used: 16) - Archidon - PC: 10 (Battlegroup Points Used: 10) - Rhinodon - PC: 12 (Battlegroup Points Used: 3) - Titan Gladiator - PC: 15 Paingiver Bloodrunner Master Tormentor - PC: 0 Paingiver Task Master - PC: 0 Feralgeist - PC: 2 Croak Raiders - Leader & 9 Grunts: 16 Farrow Brigands - Leader & 9 Grunts: 15 - Farrow Brigand Warlord - PC: 4 Paingiver Beast Handlers - Leader & 3 Grunts: 5 Paingiver Bloodrunners - Leader & 5 Grunts: 9 THEME: Disciples of Agony ********************************************* Theme: Winds of Death 2 / 2 Free Cards 75 / 75 Army Dominar Rasheth - WB: +28 - Aptimus Marketh - PC: 0 - Titan Cannoneer - PC: 17 (Battlegroup Points Used: 17) - Cyclops Shaman - PC: 8 (Battlegroup Points Used: 8) - Cyclops Shaman - PC: 8 (Battlegroup Points Used: 3) - Basilisk Drake - PC: 8 - Basilisk Drake - PC: 8 Venator Dakar - PC: 0 Extoller Soulward - PC: 3 Swamp Gobber Chef - PC: 1 Venator Reivers - Leader & 9 Grunts: 15 - Venator Reiver Officer & Standard - Officer & Standard: 4 Venator Slingers - Leader & 5 Grunts: 8 Venator Reivers - Leader & 5 Grunts: 9 - Venator Reiver Officer & Standard - Officer & Standard: 4 Croak Raiders - Leader & 5 Grunts: 10

I'm planning to use Morg2 DOA as my 2nd list. Zaal1 is my primary but still has a few variations being tested before I call it "done" for this year (I seem to settle into 3 casters/lists and mostly play those with a few silly casual games thrown in throughout the year - like my Naaresh+Dracodile list I'm building.) The core behavior of the list works a treat tho. I need to make a few purchases to try this Morghoul2 out but so far my pair for the next tourney will hopefully be:
The Void Battery Zaal1 - Exalted - Kovaas - Cannoneer - Cannoneer - Shaman
Soulward Soulward Void Spirit Void Spirit Guardian Guardian (free) Hakaar (free)
max Immortals + CA max Immortals + CA Bellows Crew
Double Trouble Morghoul2 - Disciples - Archidon - Archidon - Blind Walker - Blind Walker
Master Tormentor (free) Master Tormentor (free) Task Master (free) Task Master
max Brigands + CA max Brigands + CA Bloodrunners Bloodrunners min Beast Handlers

So ran my Morghoul2 list last night into a Bradigus all the Wolds list in Bones Wolds: Guardian, 2x Walden, 3xWatcher, 3xWight, Stones: 2xSentry, 2xShifting Blackclads: 2xWayfairer & 2xStoneshaper
Friendly game against a great opponent. He won starting role, scenario was standoff.
He deploys symmetrically, I deploy all my beasts to the right and farrow to the left and I ambush my bloodrunners.
Turn 1 : Run, his manikins are over half way, gulp. Otherwise he's setting up for a turn 2 alpha. My Turn 1 : Croaks are back in the game, oil up a shifting stone catch a walden, watcher. Take my right most walden down to 4 boxes, remove the stone but don't do much to the watcher. Farrow have nothing to do but run(slowly) at the wall of manikins. PGMT drops another stone from the other unit with a nice charge. Archidon engages a manikins front and centre, Rhinodon tramples forward and spiny growths while the Morghoul nestles between the gladiator and wrastler just in my zone..
Turn 2: Fire fails to kill the walden boo. Manikins clear up some farrow and croaks making lanes to the rhino and archidon. He builds up the synergy train and Bradigus feats, getting a watcher and walden on both 'dons. They go down but not before the rhino has put a serious hurt on the watcher. He forgets to push at the end of the turn not a huge game changer as a woods center table would have stopped much movement. He could have probably got Bradigus a bit safer. My turn 2: Ergh, down two heavies, one wight has set fire to 4 croaks they all die! So I immediately look for the assassination feeling out of the game. I can trample the wrastler onto Bradigus but he's camping. Long odds. So I take another look and I think I can clear all 3 heavies this turn, as with Rush the wrastler can charge the guardian thanks to shadowwalk. So order of activation, the croaks take out the on fire walden. The beast handlers enrage the two heavies. Morghoul feats catching all the manikins and most of the wolds runs into the trench camping 2. Gladiator takes care of a walden and watcher, wrastler takes care of the guardian. Damn that's a swing!
Turn 3: He can get a wight and watcher to morgoul. He builds the synergy train but the wight takes a free strike from the task master, which kills it... MVP. The watcher beats morghoul a bit but his damage dice go cold and I don't have to transfer. Meanwhile he got the wrastler down to one box My Turn4: Wrastler frenzies but Morghoul, rushes, shadow walks the gladiator. Handlers do there thing and the gladiator puts Bradigus in the dirt.
Thoughts. Croaks are great again! That extra point of dmg and pathfinder make them. Farrow.. hmmm they just died but did the job of causing my opponent to remove them rather than the two important heavies. Blood runners did a great job taking off his support on one flank and eventually even putting a few points on Bradigus. Wrastler I'm loving it a PS 17 base beast with an inch greater threat than a gladiator.. didn't even need Rage.

These are some nice lists, glad to see the variation out there, its giving me a lot of ideas. Especially with the Wrastler, I think I am going to pick one up (or go wild and just buy that army box with him in it). I dont own croaks yet either but they look like a lot of fun.
I played a game against my friend who dropped b3 and I already had decided I was running my Morg list. Butcher 3 is an pain, and they actually have a theme that removes ambush from our units. My entire morg2 list is all about that ambush! Well it was going to be good practice any way I look at it. It was actually really good for me to have to AD them instead of Ambush as I just learned 2 games prior exactly how ambush works (you can AD them, or opt to ambush, you need not decide prior to your AD phase). Bog trogs are pretty bad not ambushing, but they absorbed a lot of gunfire, which kept his units busy and back. my pigs preyed his Ruin withe the thoughts that 10 effective pow 16 shots would ruin his day, but it didnt. in fact, my dice were pretty bad all game. However he got greedy with B3 and some decent placement on my part and feating meant his assassination run left me 1 one hp and morg took him down.
Things I learned. This list can handle a few hard targets, but it cannot handle a lot of hard targets. Though it does have some decent jamming potential and could win on scenario against a list like this ( If I killed one widowmaker id have won on scenario as well.)

How did you find the arc nodes? I've tried prox'ing a blind walker in a previous game but never got off a mortality through it. Did you ever put up the arc node animus on the shaman?

In previous games I did arc through the shaman though I feel like it may be a bit of a gimmick. With proper placement I think it'll work much better. Something where you have an initial set up like this
(S) (B) (M)
Where the shaman activates first and uses Animus and then moves into position. This allows your nodes to spread out a bit better, otherwise he needs to be within 7 of the blind Walker and restrics your angles of threat.
In my game against b3 it was nice to have morg out of ruin's threat range and instead have a big tanky node to take the hit.

Played another game, this time against irusk1 black fang spam. I ambushed the bloodrunners and AD'd the bog trogs to counter his advance moving dudes. While his advance move killed most of my bog trogs on his alpha, I was able to feat and deliver a devastating counterpunch. ambush took out his flanking horses while gremlin swarm threatened his flag. This is exactly the sort of list I want to see across from me. I keep thinking the bog trogs are the weakest link in this list, but I cant see myself without them, they help the scenario game really well. Plus I am all about the effect on the psyche knowing that there are two ambush units.
Second game against B3, this time with hexy2. I run the razor worm into suicide range to arc a hellfire to kill his jackmarshal turn 1, hoping that kills neuters the behemoth (it doesnt, actually). Ruin eats the worm in nearly 1 swing. However my opponent is cocky with butcher and goes to bring behemoth into his control area and isnt aware of just how scary our turtles are, and is just barely in melee range. Butcher gets knocked down and some damage on him before hexy throws a bunch of hellfire at him and steals ruin's souls and focus to throw some more. down goes the butcher! (this is incredibly satisfying because I played against butcher3 a billion times in mk2 and NEVER ONCE WON. lol). This does however make me think that rasheth is probably the better caster to run because my pairing cant actually put enough damage onto things. Hopefully fatty can do it.
The other idea is a zadeesh list, but I have been told these lists are traps and not to run them. hmmm. Zadeesh in warhost Gladiator sentry cannoneer aradus soldier shaman krea (free) agonizer (free) min beast handler min beast handler Siege animantarax Gremlin Swarm Gobber Bellows crew
I feel like zadeesh makes the aradus an absolute beast with inviable resolve shoring up his weakness to pushes and countercharge making him a big threat. I am admittedly just being cute with the bellows crew, I want more clouds! could easily turn a min unit of handlers to a max.

Game last night with my Morghoul 2 list:
Skorne - HSquad Theme: Disciples of Agony
2 / 2 Free Cards 75 / 75 Army Armory - Steamroller Objective
Lord Assassin Morghoul - WB: +29 - Blackhide Wrastler - PC: 16 (Battlegroup Points Used: 16) - Titan Gladiator - PC: 15 (Battlegroup Points Used: 13) - War Hog - PC: 15 - Archidon - PC: 10
Paingiver Bloodrunner Master Tormentor - PC: 0 Paingiver Bloodrunner Master Tormentor - PC: 0 Paingiver Task Master - PC: 3
Croak Raiders - Leader & 9 Grunts: 16 Nihilators - Leader & 9 Grunts: 15 Paingiver Bloodrunners - Leader & 5 Grunts: 9 Paingiver Beast Handlers - Leader & 3 Grunts: 5
I wanted a list that could could clear infantry, heavies that trade well and present an assassination option. Its paired with a arm skew X1 list. My opponent was rocking a Una2 Tharn list (Pureblood, 4xScarsfell, Bloodweavers, Ravagers+UA, Min Wolf Riders, Night Witch, Shaman, White Mane, Tree)
We agreed that my X1 armskew list was uphill for his single list and I wanted to try my list into some serious anti-infantry so I dropped Morghoul. The scenario was the wrestling belt. Forest to the center my opponent went first I chose the side with a handy trench.
Setup My opponent puts his Ravagers to my left wolf riders to my right. Griffins paired up and Pureblood keeping Una warm. Bloodweavers setup center board behind the woods in AD. I Ambush my bloodrunners put my nihilators on my right (I didn't fancy them against the Ravagers) and beasts all in the middle. Finally I AD my croaks against the Ravagers with a PGTM on each flank.
Turn 1 My opponent runs, keeps his bloodweavers out of threat of the croaks who are their prey target. Ravagers run up making sure the UA and white mane are out of danger. Una gives the bloodweavers hand of fate and mirage on the Ravagers. My Turn 1 TaskMaster gives croaks scutter, croaks oil and dart the ravagers and after all's done I've got 2 on fire one dead. They scutter away to avoid being packmaned. The left PGTM goes in to finish off a ravager but flubs his attack, leaving him staring death in the eyes. Right PGTM whips two bloodweavers off the table and sprints back. Nihlators flood up the table and the beasts toe the zone. Morghoul hands out shadow play onto the archidon and camps lots up on the edge of the zone.
Turn 2 Fire goes out on all the ravagers... they mirage about. His Shaman zaps the PGTM but fails to kill it lighting bounces onto one of the ravagers killing him(lol). The rest of the ravagers packman through some croaks and white mane takes off the PGTM. His bloodweavers tag a few more croaks and one lands a spiked damage roll on the archidon.. His riders take down the last PGMT and some Nihalators then jam in. Couple of Scarsfell get up the board and put up animi. Una dirdles in the back with her pureblood chum. My Turn 2 Morghoul apparitions into the zone feats catching all the weavers couple of Scarsfell (ones with dodge) and 2 of the riders. He walks forward and kills 3 weavers sprints back camping 3. Bloodrunners ambush into the Tharn and the objective. Gladiator rushes the Hog and charges some bloodweavers slapping 3 into the dirt thanks to blind. Hog charges a Scarsfell in the back of the zone (not blind) but within melee of a blind scaresfell, he take both off the table. Archidon gets onto the other blinded scarsfell and eats it. Nihlators clear off the wolf riders and finally Wrastler positions to score . Score 0-1 to me
Turn 3 White mane packmans through all the bloodrunners! Pureblood eats the hog, last scaresfell kills the archidon. Una backs up while the unblinded night witch beats ineffectively on the gladiator he contests my zone score 0-1 My Turn 3 Morghoul apparitions into the scarefell, nihlators soften it up and he then flashing blades it death. Walks over to stab the nightwitch and attempts to boost a mortailty into Una2 (Mistake) and misses. Wrastler charges pureblood and just manages to kill it. Gladiator rushes itself and charges Una. I boosted my first two attacks, they both connect, and are enough to kill her.
Thoughts Mortality ergh, 3 fury and 1 to boost. I should have rushed the gladiator with Morghoul thus leaving it with 3 fully boosted hits and a potential boost on damage. 4 fury to only have it miss is just crazy... anyway otherwise list did okay into his infantry clearing. Croaks did a job again. I think I wimped out not putting my nihaltors against his Ravagers.. My opponent was to aggressive with his griffins giving me 3 in my turn. Hog was okay although my thinking with him is ARM20+ killer but he traded well against the griffins.

How do you feel not having an arcnode, did you miss having it and the shield guard or did it not come up?

I've run Morghoul2 in winds a lot and found that an arc node is nice but not critical. With high def, steady, incorp and access to stuff like Sprint and craft talisman he's pretty good at tagging a target and scuttling back to safety. Granted I'm usually just using mortality as an armor debuf or to stop a battle engine/collosal from repairing so I usually don't need to boost to hit.

How do you feel not having an arcnode, did you miss having it and the shield guard or did it not come up? I tend to keep morghoul up the table so haven't missed it. It does mean that I run the risk of assassination.
