I've been putting a Hydra w/ Agonizer w/ Orin Midwinter under Inviolable Resolve in a Zaal1/Exalted list lately (effective armor 23, hard to debuff, watch out for lightning). I resent the gargantuan hogging Inviolable resolve and the 26 beast points but I keep it well screened with Immortals and it hasn't died untimely yet.

I would look into Disciples of Agony theme. (Personal bias but love the theme for Narresh 1)
The theme does a few things that really make the any Gargantuan powerful. First is that it allows any minion faction warbeast to be a part of the Skorn army as a Friendly Faction model if controlled by a Skorn Warlock. It allows all minion units and one minion solo.
This means (oroginal poster) you have a choice of 3 friendly faction Gargantuans to use. As well as the possible rage or primal animi. With beast handlers handing out free charges and plus 2 str the swings in damage from any Gargantuan are average +4 before spells.
But like i said im bias

We've actually been discussing this entire thread with DoA as the standard. This is because the original poster wanted to know about the Dracodile of whom CANNOT be in a skorne list WITHOUT it being a DoA list. If I had around 400 dollars lying around I'd totally break into a DoA list, but I lack any minion models other than a few solos. I do believe the inevitable "go to" list for Skorne will be a DoA list, but in foreign countries especially, the price tag requirements are overwhelming. Our minions player actually laughed at the fact that he would only need to spend about 50 USD to make an awesome DoA list.

Thanks Got my list sorted and under construction - posted up what I'm building a few posts earlier. There was also the subtle first line pun (student of pain...) hinting that I was well invested into building DoA lists this year As far as our themes go, DoA (along with The Exalted) just sings to me. I only wish Jalaam was available to the theme. Damn I love that sculpt. My main guy for DoA is going to be Morghoul2 but I have a few more purchases to make before I can build that list. In the meantime, this one with the Dracodile is almost literally half-way there so therefore makes a great stepping stone while I save up for the duplicate minions models I will need. I've thought about reordering points to provide a bit more defense as suggested, such as the addition of a Krea. I've saved a list with that suggestion but I'll finish what's on my table and try the pure attack version out first. I'm not certain that the things that normally shoot my beasts off the table would notice the +2 ARM, but I recognise it might well make all the difference when he's fully stacked with Blur on top of that. If you're interested, the max unit of Handlers reasoning: Naaresh will need a few for his own buffs. I don't want to be caught in too many situations where it's buff Naaresh, or buff beast vector. Even then, it's 5 Handlers to whip Naaresh to full potency, but it allows for both that and moving the 6th member to enrage+prod the Dracodile or an Archidon at the same time. So in my unexperienced opinion _at least_ 1 full unit is mandatory with Naaresh. There's also attrition advantages and action economy bonuses (e.g. more heals for the Drac) as a minor benefit. All-in-all worth the 2 points I could spend elsewhere methinks Edit for Gobber: To get the Krea and Aggy, only need to drop the Archidon and BRMT and make the Task Master free - Brigands CA can stay put. That gives the 13 points for the defensive buff beasts. But, that's a LOT of threat I have to give up to do it and that sounds uncomfortably reactive. Personal preference is Krea _or_ Aggy, but rarely both.

realized draco can get up with PS 27 under naaresh.... yeesh. Feat > rage > enrage. do it with morghoul and you loose 1 pow but gain 2 inches of threat.

All the DoA Gargantuan focus is on the Dracodile, but I think the better one is the Mammoth with a Splatter Boar.
That animus is amazing, and Morghoul2 can allow for some highly accurate, hard-hitting guns that even on a miss could likely come back and clip your target.
It's an expensive package, but all Gargantuans are. Getting the most out of those guns before the melee seems the best way to get full value out of the model.
