I just finished painting mine and I’m eager to get him on the table. How are you all playing him?
I think he’ll work with Calaban, but Calaban obviously wants Bone Shrines and a Soul Slave, so I figure I’m not playing him much until Feb.
I’ve got Maelok with Dracodile, Blindwalker, and three Posses lined up. Death Ride seems cute, Maelok has an ARM debuff so doesn’t miss Rage as much, and he wouldn’t mind having Concealment / hanging out in the Dracodile’s shadow.
I dunno. Every Gator Warlock is wasting part of their card when they bring a Dracodile. Not only does Barney’s Warpath not work with it, but the Dracodile is eating points that could be taken by Beasts which would benefit from it...

If you really wanna Dracodile, I find I want him with casters where I do not feel pressed to take a Wrastler as well. So Jaga, Calaban, and Maelok.

Why is no one considering Rask? Feat protects it on the approach, then Lanyssa and Boundless Charge make it outthreat almost everything while Fury and Rage make it able to kill almost everything. Of course most of the time it would be more efficient to take two Wrastlers instead, but that's the same on most Warlocks. So if you want to play the Dracodile put it on Rask and go bananas.
The best part? Even if you lose the Dracodile to something completely unnecessary and pointless. Wrastler, Snapjaw and whatever else is also in the list are still as threatening as ever under Rask. Not that I tested exactly that, because I forgot Durst also has Boundless charge which makes a Judicator threat 11" instead of 9"...

With the speed buff and feat defense you can get the whole list surprisingly far up without too much fear of reprisal.

I agree with Gaston, a Wrastler as well shouldn't be necessary.
That's why I want to play him with BLoB in WWFF. Since he has access to Dark Shroud wherever he wants 10" from him the dracodile becomes p+s21 and 19 on the rest. Add in a Blind Walker for Hunters Mark arcing and You've got a 12" threat Dracodile. I like how that works. I also plan to run this list as an anti-gunline with 6 valkyries and a blind walker. Shield guard madness. List as planned:
Barnabas, Lord of Blood - WB: +23
- Barnabas, Lord of Blood - Dracodile - PC: 36 - Blind Walker - PC: 10 - Boneswarm - PC: 7 Wrong Eye - Wrong Eye & Snapjaw: 17 Bog Trog Mist Speaker - PC: 4 Swamp Gobber River Raider - 3 Raiders: 0 Swamp Gobber River Raider - 3 Raiders: 0 Swamp Gobber Chef - PC: 1 Bone Shrine - PC: 2 Farrow Valkyries - Leader & 2 Grunts: 8 Farrow Valkyries - Leader & 2 Grunts: 8 Croc-pot: 5

I'm tempted to do that in a couple of my legion lists for giggles.

I think Jaga can probably run him the best. The sheer volume of attacks he generates with an assault spray and 4 initials means S&P is huge value for him. She also speeds him up with Battle Host making him threat 12" in melee and 22" with the gun, and boosts his defense with Grave Wind to help protect against crap guns. Here's the list I came up with for her.
War Room Army
Minions - jagadile
Theme: The Blindwater Congregation 2 / 2 Free Cards 75 / 75 Army
Jaga-Jaga, the Death Charmer - WB: +27 - Gatorman Soul Slave - PC: 0 - Bull Snapper - PC: 0 - Dracodile - PC: 36 (Battlegroup Points Used: 27) - Ironback Spitter - PC: 14
Sacral Vault - PC: 17
Croak Hunter - PC: 3
Croak Raiders - Leader & 9 Grunts: 16 Croak Raiders - Leader & 9 Grunts: 16
THEME: The Blindwater Congregation ---
GENERATED : 01/08/2018 10:59:08 BUILD ID : 2059.17-12-30
I think the croaks make sense with jaga for similar reasons as the Dracodile: huge value from S&P due to fully boosted guns, as well as S&P helping the initial oil gourd land. Sacral Vault helps too, eating up dead croaks and enemies.

I agree, Jaga offers a lot to the Dracodile and Flood waters actually is really nice with Croaks as it gets them out of the victim stat levels. Have you considered dropping the spitter and the Hunter for a second vault?

I did consider it but ultimately I think I'd rather have the Spitter. I don't really like the idea of all my fury generation hinging on such a big target, plus the added ranged pressure is nice. The croak hunter isn't set in stone, but I'm not sure what I'd swap him for. I've yet to put this list on the table but hopefully I'll be able to tomorrow and I can report back.

WRT to backing a Dracodile with a Wrastler: buff strengths My dracodile list is as follows conflictchamber.com/#cb201b_-0Pcr4cjTjN0YbOhm4k7FfyjD2NMinion Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Will Work for Food (Rask 1) Rask [+27] - Blackhide Wrastler [16] - Dracodile [36] - Swamp Horror [15] - Targ [0(4)] Gatorman Witch Doctor [0(4)] Gremlin Swarm [3] Lanyssa Ryssyl, Nyss Sorceress [0(4)] Rorsh [15] - Battle Boar [7] Farrow Valkyries [8] Swamp Gobbers Bellows Crew [2] Stacking Fury and Rage on a Dracodile means that it can destroy multiple heavies in a turn, even when you have to boost the assault to land blind. At P+S 22 I don't think you can count on that. In addition, if heavies kill the Dracodile, the Wrastler can then follow up and kill the second line. Finally, preventing charges from more than 5 inches away means you can commit the Dracodile pretty far forward. Infantry spreads out to survive. Heavies can have to trample to get there. You can take two or three charges from any given unit, the dracodile will survive(this also can happen with Floodwaters too). A single trampling heavy shouldn't kill it. Two or three charges can kill a wrastler. It would take some serious dice spikes, but hey, those happen.

That's probably the smart choice. Besides with out the Croak Hunter you have no one to hold flags that you can risk being aggressive with. The soul slave is too valuable of a model.
