Maybe I need to clear things up. You can't declare charges/slams against your own models anymore, but there is nothing saying you can't Crit Smite your models over the Kayazy. It's a funny option that works well with Ashlyn's feat.

Eh, searching for crit smites isn't even a guaranteed thing even with Ashlynn, and she's the best hope for it. On the flip side, Eliminators will be on Forge guard in no time flat, will not struggle to hit them, don't care a lick about FG armor, and will basically almost assuredly remove 4 models off the table a turn once they are on the FG. Hunting for crit smites just isn't a great solution here.
FG will, barring the crit smite bowling thing which is a longshot, struggle to hit the eliminators without outside assistance. Sure, they splatter them if they do connect, but they are hunting for 10's to hit unassisted which is the epitome of longshot.
I really love Foreguard's aesthetic, rules, pretty much everything, but eliminators are something you don't want to see across the table from them unless you have a plan to kill them before they get on your FG. They will decimate your unit in 2-3 turns totally unassisted, and your forgeguard will struggle in kind against them.
In terms of dealing with eliminators, you deal with them how you deal with every high def stealth thing ; either stealth mitigation in tandem with boostable 5+attack scores in a bit of quantity, AOE's of various kinds, auto plink damage of some sort, etc, or some combination of all. Eliminators are terror to single wound infantry, and their defense is really high in melee, but they can't soak a hit worth a shit, and their defense is way more manageable against ranged and magic if you can strip their stealth.
They can't take a hit if you can manage to connect : 11 armor and 5 boxes only stands up to atrocious rolling on the all but the lowest pow attacks. So use typical stealth mitigation techniques and call it a day.

It's a funny option that works well with Ashlyn's feat. I keep forgetting: can you still use chain attack: smash and grab to throw your own models around? As for Eliminators; sprays (especially boosted) are still the best bet, because that way you can even target them in melee without being at a disadvantage to hit. Or electroleaps. So maybe bring Orin? Bounce off your own stuff if you have to.

teh throw from smash n grab is still a power attack so no Grogspar can still do it, though.

For Mercs in general, taking a unit of Gun Mages with Ashlynn in highborn could be ok. Moment of clarity plus Roulette would do the trick wat
