Could be the Church gets Distant Deployment rather than Forward Deployment.

What if it gives out auras of delivery buffs? Impervious flesh w/in 10"? Maybe doors of judgement 3x per turn as its offensive ability with no damage taken? Eye of Menoth, or +1/+1 for 1 round after it dies?
If its effects are within a 10" bubble and it gets anything better than advance deploy, it hits pretty far into your opponent's territory.

Could be the Church gets Distant Deployment rather than Forward Deployment. Would we even be able to reach it before getting jammed?

Yes, we would. Doubly so if you are using Errants.

Bored, decided to get involved.
So here's a general list of what I want for each model/unit, and why. Mostly so, when the CiD comes out, I can see if what PP is looking at is even close to what I feel they need. I am trying to be super-general in what I want for each unit, as I don't want to name a specific rule/ability I want, only to be invariably disappointed.
Exemplar Bastion Senny - On an individual basis, he's slow and squishy. But his drive is awesome, and his leadership SEEMS cool. He just needs Bastions to be more durable so they can take advantage of it. WANT: better Bastions
Exemplar Bastions - They are slow (9" threat is just sad), super-squishy even with Sanguine Bond, Set Def is simply wasted on a DEF11 unit, and cost a bit too much for what they provide. I honestly don't know how to fix these. More durability would help, but even then I'm unlikely to use them WANT: god...anything.
Exemplar Cinerators - They're squishy. You wouldn't think so, being ARM17 with boxes, but they are. Otherwise, they're fine. Slow, but aided by Vengeance. Few attacks, but the attacks are not bad. WANT: cheating here, as it's already been said they're getting Shield Wall. Which I like. Still slow, but Shield Wall drives their ARM up to levels where being slow is ok.
Exemplar Errants (whole boat) - Costs waaaaaay too much for what you get. They were a great tarpit unit with ok offensive abilities, but now self-sac is less and less valuable thanks to increasing prevalence of RFP/anti-healing, their offensive abilities are still middling-to-poor, AND they cost a TON (29 pts, if not counting Gravus) just to get them to "ok." For 29 points, I should get way more than "ok." WANT: Improve either tarpitting, offensive capability, or significant reduction in cost.
Gravus - An ok support piece and replacement for the Covenant. Unfortunately fairly-easily snipped out, and his personal threat is unimpressive. WANT: better personal threat, OR better support than simply no KD/stationary.
Exemplar Vengers - They're OK with Kreoss3, but poor with everyone else. With Battle-Driven, they become scary, but an unbuffed Venger is likely to die to anything that attacked it, so you are left with only 4 scary Vengers. Also, since it is controlled by the opponent, it's highly unreliable. Also Also, lance is stupid, and should be fixed. WANT: Make them a more-reliable unit, or get rid of Lance.
Knights Exemplar - These guys are fine. Damaging enough to be taken and respected, squishy enough to not be tilting. I want nothing for them, and would be surprised to see them in the CiD. WANT: nothing.
Knight Exemplar Senny - I find him a tad squishy for his cost, and unfortunately (for me), his gotcha-trick has never, ever caught one of my opponents. That said, he's fine. WANT: nothing.
Rhovan & Co - Decent shield-guards, and come with an ok support model. A bit pricy, but not unreasonable for what you get. WANT: nothing
Kreoss2 - He needs something to differentiate himself from the pack. There are several casters which run Exemplars better, which just seems wrong. WANT: delivery mechanism and/or speed boost for army, greater personal threat
Kreoss3 - Technically our only Exemplar warcaster, he's perfectly fine with Vengers. But that's it. He's good with Vengers and nothing else, and Vengers are good with him and nobody else. If that's what PP wants, I'll accept it. But I'd prefer him to be less of a (literal) one-trick pony. WANT: Not even positive I want something for him. But I'd take an improvement if PP's offering.

Kreoss3 is good with literally everything. In fact, I have more lists with him without vengers than with.

Kreoss1 and 2 are Exemplar casters. High Exemplar and Grand Exemplar Was making a tongue-in-cheek observation that he's the only one listed as "Protectorate Exemplar Warcaster," due to PP's screwy rules regarding model types. Clearly fell flat. My bad.

I pretty much always have at least one unit of Vengers with him, as he does make them hit like a truck, then fill in with whatever I want, as he doesn't seem to favor any other unit/model over another.
