Played a second time with my kolgrima list
(Mulg,Mauler,EDBT,Axer, stone min, RB, Daliah+Skarath, croak raiders max, whelps) POD theme
Against
Rhan (Ret)
2 heavies, 1 light (that can arc spells) sentinals max, 2x battle mages max, arcanists and some other support.
I won the roll and went first
The terrain had 2 los blocking houses around the middle field.
The scenario did not come into play.
turn 1 trolls.
Croaks on the left run into the shallow water staying out thrat of the mages.
Skarath runs behind them, daliah hides behind a building, HM spell is up
In the middle (round zone) the axer gives rush to the mauler and walks up. The mauler runs up to stay out of threat range but in the zone.
the RB does harmonious
Kolgrima rushes the EDBT and mulg
mulg runs up
On the right side (rect zone) the EDBT runs 12 inch up the board and hides behind a building.
2 whelps are on the board and run up (one to get to the flag next turn)
Turn 1 Ret
Mages run up.
Sentinals run up in tripod formation to get the benefit of +arm
The arcanists hand out focus to the light
the light runs up in range of the croacks
Rahn arcs the ao3 spell 2 times and 6 croaks die. Well I did not know this
Now I do.
The rest shuffles up.
Turn 2 Trolls
Time to make some mistakes
Croaks kill a mage and shuffle around
Skar kills a mage and shuffles around
Daliah stays way back
RB does harmonious
I measue out where my clouds will come
Kolgrima goes and puts down 4 clouds sealing everything up
Mauler rund behind the clouds
Mulg runs and riles 1 behind the cloud
EDBT runs behind the cloud on the right
Axer runs to the right into the right zone for scoring
Whelp runs to base the flag.
So what did I do wrong here.
Mulg and mauler should have been 2.1 inch back behind the cloud.
The clouds should have been slightly back to prevent mages to get into them.
I did not do owls wisdom on my mulg.
Turn 2 Ret
He walks the light in range to telekenisis my heavies. Does arcane assist and
Mulg arcane voids his attempt
and again. With the remaining attemps he fails to cast.
So far I am lucky
now the mages can walk just into the cloud and pull mulg, EDBT and the mauler in
He charges in all sentinals
starts hitting on mulg, he retaliates and kills a single sentinal
, but mulg survives.. woohooo
The mauler dies
If I did not forget all those things my heavies would still be alive.
Turn 3
I am going all in. Due to RB not in range of sentinals and it is getting late and I want to see the star wars armada match.
Mulg can trample to his caster which is on 0 focus
That was his big mistake
Now comes an action where you see kolgrima shine against high arm infantry.
I activate RM to harmonious
Then kolgrima, I cast cursed fate on the sentinals and a spray to boot. 3 dudes gone.
then rush on mulg
Then Skarath. He can spray the rest and 2 remain after he is done
The croak raider clean up the sentinals.
The way is clear for Mulg to charge his caster and I do so
the charge hit and brings him down to 5 boxes
The bought attack (was not close enough for my second initial) boossted....... 1 1 2
and Mulg is done.
Damn.
Turn 3 ret
He kills my caster.
Retrospect.
I forgot to use owls wisdom
I placed my clouds and beast to aggressively (clouds too far up without checking walking range of his mages, beats to close to the clouds to be prevented dragged into them and be visible.
I now know the light is an arcnode
I can see that I can win this game, just need more practise.
