Thanks for letting me join. Tomorrow I have a 'grudge match' with a friend. As a sort of gentlemen's agreement we both chose Warlocks we havent played before, and locked them in beforehand. Ive been playing nothing but Power of Dhunia lists, and it being Cryx I wanted to play Band of Heroes with Grim 1 to shake things up. And... then he pulls Scaverous on me xD. So, going infantry heavy is basically sucide. Could you guys help me cook up a list before tomorrow? Models aren't an issue, since this is a friendly match and we can proxy whatever. Still, I'd like to win because of a bet we made This is the list I came up with, (mostly because as mentioned before, all I know how to play is PoD). conflictchamber.com/#c7201b_-0b590r9DiRjp0hjqfIfJ6Rfp0l0mFor context, this is Scaverous: battlecollege.org/index.php/Lord_Exhumator_ScaverousThanks for any help.

If you do nothing else, add gobber crew to be able to score round zones. You have 2 free points, so it would be a terrible waste not to use them. Mist speaker seems weak in this list, especially since you wont be facing a cloud wall. You can fix incorporeal with stone or marked for death. You also have Mulg to smash things in a pinch. That leaves you 6 more points if you drop the gobbers too. The Knot is nice, but not 100% nessecary, so then you have 12 points to play with. You could go with a 10 point light and gobbers or a 9 point light and gremlins or an 8 point light and... some 4 point dude or gobbers+feralgeist or a 7 point light and eilish (you get 1 puppet strings then at least Basically all of these options seem preferable to me. but i am very much in a "i want only things that do work"-phase right now

I agree with that line of thought xD. The mist speaker was there to make a cloud 'wall' alongside the northkin solo, but yeah, not super important (although being able to bypass concealment / stealth seems nice on the net gun). So you think PoD is the correct theme to go into this matchup? I want to have more than the one trick, but I want to win more than that xD

I used to play Scaverous quite a lot in mk2. I was always surprised at how rarely people tried to assassinate him- as he’s on a medium base, and is generally screened by small based infantry and models with stealth, he’s surprisingly vulnerable to ranged attacks. He has good defensive stats, but the bomber is a great choice as it can constantly threaten him.
As Trollock mentioned, Eilish might be more useful than the dhunian knot- you still get a puppet strings, plus you can remove icy grip (and possibly death ward if you’re lucky). Also, scaverous likes models with magic attacks, which generally have 5 boxes, and Eilish can really punish them.
Otherwise, the list looks good to me. Good luck with your game!
