Hi guys, I'm new to the game and tested a bit Circle, but after few games the gameplay didn't fit me and I looked for something different. Then I tried Trolls, and had a great feeling. I've tested Borka2, not bad but I'm moving to Madrak1 and Doomie. Here's the list with Madrak:

I think that Madrak 1 and Doomy 2 are a good place to start learning casters, and welcome. Doomy 3 is a little more complicated but more forgiving of mistakes than say, Kolgrimma IMO. Borka 2 is great fun. The 2x Champs builds with Madrak 1 are pretty popular now so I'm sure someone can give you some pointers there, but I haven't played that as much. Note that his Attuned Spirit ability works with Dire Trolls only, so it's best to focus on them.

Thanks mate, that Doomie 2 list seems pretty solid. Actually I've problems to make a list with Doomie 3 since MK and Mulg are autoinclude, same for full stone; after these there are not much space left for listing

I thought that since colossals are immune to gw was the best candidate for his feat; heard that shamans are great too with Doomie 3, true?

The immunity to GW is nice but you sacrifice a lot of scenario footprint with gargossals. Doomy3's mini feat for an additional die to hit really enjoys free solos with battlewizard and crit effects like Shaman and Janissa.

Both seem reasonable but a couple of comments.
In your first list you probably don't need the mauler would probably benefit more from an Earthborn + something like a gremlin swarm for contesting
In the second list I never like being gunless so it may be worth dropping an EBDT + (downsizing the stone and dropping a shaman) or dropping the knot to change it to a bomber.
Just my thoughts but those like decent starting points for doomy3.

I think you are bringing too much support here. First you get 3 free solos, and that is awesome. Then you spend 12 points on the stone, and that is just a fact of life. But then you spend another 4+4+6=14 points on the knot and more solos. That could be a whole extra heavy. If you cut back to something like whelps + Runebearer +Janissa/Shaman for your solo options you still have the essentials. Heck the runebearer might not be needed (though he is always nice) and you could do Whelps + double shamans instead. Anyway, then you have an extra earthborn (or two 7 point lights, or the knot and a 8 point light, Doomy really likes winter trolls and swamp trolls). In my mind, it is no doubt that 1 EBDT will bring more value than a second unit of whelps, Janissa and the DK. It is not that DK are super bad, but they are mostly necessary when you want to run things that get only a few attacks and do not want to boost to hit (bombers for example), and the extra whelps and Janissa will only be able to nudge the battle in your favor. An extra heavy can totally crush the opposition.
