I'll start this thread cause I've had a lot of fun playing COI and running models that have sat on my shelf for a long time.
Here are two lists that I've ran multiple times with good success being both attacker and defender. My friends and I have mostly played 25 point matches.
List 1: The whip cracks
Points: 25
Commander: Fyanna the Lash
Commander upgrade: Frontline
Neph soldier (under Fyanna)
Shepherd
Min swordsmen
Spell martyr
Hand Size: 6
Thoughts on the list: Lots of high def models to race up the board with the shepherd and spell martyr being mainly used as mission bots/runners. Fyanna herself is pretty difficult for the opponent to remove with def 15 (17 if you get the cmd card giving duelist) and dodge she can be really slippery. She also has a 14" threat range with rapid strike and pitch. I've been able to injure/knockdown 4 models in one turn with her. Swordsmen do well with mat 7 but I found I really miss the cleave from the UA, especially since it triggers on injured. The solider is actually surprisingly effective in this format, mat 7, flight and enough boxes to really force your opponent to have to commit a lot of resources to take it out.
List 2: Blades in the shadow
Points: 25
Commander: Bayal
Commander upgrade: Mission specialist or frontline
BFS (this could also be a bloodseer+shepherd)
min hex hunters
spell martyr
Hand size: 7
Holy hand size batman, having 7 cards in your hand means you usually have lots of options during your turn. Hex hunters are surprisingly good in COI with battle wizard triggering off of injured. It helps you clean up models that made their first casualty check and mat 7 means they will hit most things. In the couple games I had with this list the BFS cause some minor activation issues to utilize them. I haven't tried this list with the bloodseer (was supposed to but nobody showed up yesterday at the lgs to play) but the advantages are there: telemetry helps both the hex hunters hit with their spell and cranks up bayal's spray. Need to double check to see if the spell martyr can channel spells for bayal or not, cause that could be fun with his spray.
So those are two lists that I've really enjoyed playing. What has everyone else been playing? Any one find any ogrun lists that work well?
