Nothing changed from the last CID iteration, right? They kept talking about making Stumbling drunk optional as you pointed out to Pagani it could be a negative, but unfortunately nothing changed

Surprised this is Black Anchor Industries instead of a general release like the Trencher Blockhouse. Maybe the blockhouse was already in the pipe line when they decided to form BAI? Regardless, if shipping is free, I'm going to get one, looks like a fun model. Now I just need to figure out a good way to move it, along with my two file cabinets full of regular sized models.

Partly, this is just a new trend, but apparently, the Hauler is also about twice the size of the Blockhouse and much more complex and just molding all the parts is a bear.

I care less about the optional trigger and more about them making an official way to handle the scatter. Do you point the 1 at the attacker, away, ? ? ?

I thought it was 1 away from the shooter in the path of the shot. Honestly, I don't think it matters how the template is oriented as long as it's consistent, and you place it first, then roll the dice.

Unless it changed in CID there is no infernal ruling, tool tip or other clue. It's just up in the air. And the problem is it's really easy without a point of reference to offset the angle by 30 degrees and alter the # of directions that help you. It's just messy and they just have to simply say "1 is away from the attacker" or whatever and it's just not a problem.

And the problem is it's really easy without a point of reference to offset the angle by 30 degrees and alter the # of directions that help you. Please explain. If you place the template first, then roll, it really doesn't matter much. Turning it 30 degrees one way or another only really matters when the number is already known, or you have a weighted die. It is possible to slightly alter the results by twisting it a bit back and forth, but it then requires a fairly long deviation to matter much. If somebody's going to do that to win the game, they're likely going to nudge the template anyway, so you should either accept it, not play them, or get a judge to do it.

It does have a slight effect on placement. If it is directly away from the attacker then it is better to place your unit at max range in a straight line. Deviations in any direction, regardless of number, are guaranteed to not go straight through your unit.
A deviation template has no option to go straight side to side.
We’re talking about the chance of a chance of saving a single warrior model or two on a rare occasion though.

You shouldn't be able to modulate the behavior of the scatter based on what you find more valuable. For example if you're at max melee, rotating it so it doesn't align with the center to center line it gives you a 4/6 chance of leaving their melee.
