Hey guys, I'm giving Grayle a go for the first time and wanted to get some feedback on the list I have created.
Its going to go a little something like this:
Grayle the Farstrider 29/29
Pureblood Warpwolf - 17
Pureblood Warpwolf - 17
Wolf Lord Morraig - 8
Reeve Hunter - 0 (free from theme) Reeve Hunter - 4 War Wolf - 2 War Wolf - 2
Wolves of Orboros - 11 UA - 0 (free from theme)
Reeves of Orboros - 16
Warpborn Skinwalkers - 15 UA - 0 (free from theme)
Death Wolves - 9
Shifting Stones - 3
Theme will allow my Wolves to ambush if i so choose(which seems fun), and the Purebloods will also gain Tracker.
I think one of my favorite parts about this list is other than the purbloods, the stones, and the war wolves, all the models can just walk right through each other. Makes activation order a lot easier for a noob like myself.
Also, would you guys ambush with the Wolves? why or why not.
Thanks!

Drop a Reeve hunter and put the UA on the reeves. Being able to CRA into melee is one of their key abilities and go to ground will help them survive a lot better.
Other than that looks solid to me.

Hmm, okay yeah. CRA into melee does seem pretty solid, I’ll have to give that a go once I have the model! Thanks for he input

Absolutely ambush with those Wolves. The beauty of this is usually it makes your opponent afraid of the table edges so they bunch up in the middle. If they don't the Wolves can reliably remove just about anything. I often use the min unit (with ua) because you don't get whittled down before they engage.
I'm curious what you expect from the shifting stones in this list? You don't need fury management or teleport and the healing isn't likely to do much. Is it just a cheap unit for zones?

Yeah the idea was just some cheap models for zones as well as just blocking charge lanes or what not. But yeah, I can't imagine using them to teleport. It was a bit of a filler to be honest, so I'm open to suggestions for a replacement.

Pretty much every time I bring a list without Shifting Stones, I wish I had brought Shifting Stones.

Pretty much every time I bring a list without Shifting Stones, I wish I had brought Shifting Stones. See, that’s kind of what I’ve been thinking over. Even if I never shift with them, we are talkin a 5 box, 18 arm, immobile piece for 1 point. Big ol’ bump in the road.👍🏻

It's interesting you guys find them so vital and I don't have them in either of my current lists. Maybe I've got an unfairly poor opinion of them after the repeated nerfs at the end of Mk2 and then Mk3.
Def 5/Arm 18 1 point models that can be placed within 8" certainly have value but it seems to me they either are in position to port a pureblood or to get in the way and they can't do both at the same time. They're fine if I have an extra three points around but in your list I'd be interested in packaging them with the Reeve Hunter and maybe Deathwolves to be something different. That's an extra 7,12, or 16 points that could be applied to other things. You would want to be careful about keeping your third free card.
If you've enjoyed stones, then I'd try them. They're tier 1 on the chopping block to me but if it works it works. That's what testing and actual game use is for after all.

I think people who don't play circle have an unrealistic fear of the teleport, and so put an inordinate focus on killing exactly one stone then ignoring them. The trick is to take them for everything but the teleport: healing, fury management, body blocking, scoring and contesting scenario.
I have definitely used them to threaten a port and then end up running with 3 extra fury on the table due to serenity. Healing spirit on a warpwolf, who can then force to heal more if necessary, is a great way to get your beast functional without caster involvement. They can also be used as stone soup for the gobber chef.
Their utility is really only limited by your imagination, and for 3 points, it doesn't get much better (except the punch monk).
