Poland had a period when it was a major European power and controlled a large Commonwealth which spanned into Russia and Germany; It did face a lot of problems later but it was highly influential. While it has had a lot of problems it is not the victim of Europe if anything Estonia deserves to be recognized for its hardships far more. It helped save Vienna and had possibly the finest constitution in Political history(Poland). I'm not trying to bash them, I love Poland, but Poland's achievements outway its bad history. Belgium also had an empire. The things they did in the Congo still effect that nation today. but I digress If we are going to compare I'd say more like the Balkans or east/west Germany yeah, I totally agree about Cygnar and Ord, but the Crucible should fix that ( for ord and possibly Llael?). I mean id like the Orgoth to return somehow, but that's probably not going to happen. The intent was understood, though my lazy historical flippancy is now on record There was a PP staff quote (swallowed by the forum dissolution alas) that they would never bring the Orgoth back. Though they've back tracked before (Member when the Mountain King was going to be the only MAT 5 Gargossal? Good times)

But it does bring up an interesting point for me, are we nearing a point of warcaster oversaturation? How many more Warnoun3/4 can the game have before it becomes too unwieldy to operate? For most factions, yes, but not for Mercs. There is a rather serious underrepresentation even if you keep it just to the Human 'Casters. The only Legendary 'Caster is a Partisan, and so not wholly ours. And that doesn't even consider the more subtle Pirate/Lubber split. Rhulic only have three 'Casters, while Cephalyx has two, and neither has an Epic or Legendary 'Caster. There is currently no Cavalry or Battle Engine 'Caster, and we just barely got a 'Caster unit, and he's Partisan! So, there is room in Mercs for 'Caster growth, the only questions are will and when?

The more I read in this thread, the more convinced I am that tank commander Ashlynn is going to be a thing. First battle engine warcaster for Mercs (we've been getting more and more of them), allying with radical elements (crucible guard), hint of desperation (abandoning her previous strategies to rely on untested tech). Hell, we can make the damn thing powered by souls if we need to. I'm down.

I think I remember the Orgoth quote too, but there's nothing stopping remnants or a group calling themselves the new Orgoth

It would be so bizarre for jumpy acrobatic ashlynn to lock herself in a metal box on wheels.

Well since we're back onto her possibly being crucible guard I'll lay out some of my original thoughts...
1. Though the crucible guard were not technically Llael exclusive, they were originally Llaelese so Ashlynn and the crucible would have similar cultural background. 2. They would both be in agreeance to making Llael an independent nation, something none of Ashlyn's other allies really are interested in. 3. They have their own resources to fund a war effort against Khador, and the resistance has a base of operation in "free Llael" that the crucible would be able to launch from 4. Ashlyn is getting desperate and embracing crazy Crucible tech might be her solution. 5. We know thanks to the update to Vanguards that the Crucible will be using warjacks, and it could be possible that they may just outfit Ashlyn with other tech but leave her out of a tank. 6. We know they're going to be using / making Vanguards (i believe I read somewhere that the Crucible created a lot of jacks for Llael before it was conquered), which maybe she'll work for the crucible, if nothing else, in exchange for more jacks for her personal war effort.

Finally turning the tide! New strategy: convert all Khadoran's to Llaelese with our sweet tech. No loyal son of the Motherland would turn traitor for your cheap trinkets! Now tell me more about these jetpacks...

If I recall correctly, the topic was "any speculation on Ashlynn2"? We are very much on topic and the rails are confused but in tact. Now, who can I throw money at to give me Ashlynn + Aiakos, complete with steampunk jetpack?
