So the idea of her being a Cavalry model did pop up and something I was just thinking is Flame Bringers exist. They would be a good base for a possible Ashlynn on a horse model, I think.
Fast, good DEF, sidestep, weapon master. All of these seem logical for her too. Just a thought.

I can well picture Ashlynn as a cavalry model with some kind of dressage special rules thrown in to the mix to let her synergise well with sh cavalry and stannis for those glorious forlorn hope charges.

As much as I love the rest of the steelhead boat becoming Llaelese through a field commander type rule (Look at me, I'm Damiano now), the idea of dressage making its way into anything is deeply upsetting.

Even if it was merely to allow her to leap over intervening models? It sounds like something she would try to use for being a high def Warcaster.

Lighting fast strikes on your enemy would be a viable tactic.

Lighting fast strikes on your enemy would be a viable tactic. If the problem with dressage is the style of kit, I could understand the objection, but the concept of the combined movement between rider and mount which allows for quick response and leaping would definitely be in keeping with how Ashlynn operates.

Well my objections to dressage are to the culture, and its animal welfare issues, nobody is denying its skill (though that skill comes at cost), and I can see where you are coming from.
Has Ashlynn interacted with the Trollbloods? It's possible she could gain allies there by supporting their autonomy. The two forces feel like the only people in warmachine/ Hordes just trying to survive.

The two forces feel like the only people in warmachine/ Hordes just trying to survive. Khador are just trying to survive, we're just smart enough to know that you don't survive against the undead Cryxian swarm, the enroaching hordes of blighted followers of Ethrunbal, technologically advanced genocidal Elves, an invasion of insane masochistic Skorne, and zealots who's combination of science and religion demands that they turn everyone into clocks, by sitting around in small groups ignoring the plight of your neighbors until it's too late. In other words, united we stand and divided we fall. The Iron Kingdoms are divided, easy prey for the evil armies that threaten humanity; Khador is trying to unite everyone together, so we can all survive, together. I mean, if we don't take over the world, you just know the Protectorate will. We're MUCH better than those guys; the only time we wipe out whole villages is when Butcher has an "episode", and that hardly ever happens!

Or if someone insults the empress' hair, or suggests that she's put on weight.
Better yet, don't say anything about the empress unless it's positive.

Rhul, we've been by ourselves since the Elven kingdom exploded "mysteriously". If anything Llael should just come hang with the dwarves. We do trade, we make money, and heck we've never met a foe we can't deal with! Heck we even like mercenaries, so Ashlyn could just keep doing her thing! I mean if the Ogrun can join us and do AMAZINGLY well, then a bunch of human refugees should be fine!

You think Cryx won't come for you once they've finished with us, if we don't stop them? "First they came for the Cygnarans, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Cygnaran.
Then they came for the Ords, and I did not speak out— Because I was not an Ord.
Then they came for the Khadorans, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Khadoran.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."**Inspired by the words of Martin Niemöller

They have the model of Ashes to Ashlynn up (or the 3-D rendering) on the privateer press web page, just FYI. Looks awesome.

read aftershock before speculating, maybe? art was commissioned and the character conceived years ago Sadly I can't seem to find much time to read these days. Or paint. Plus I find PP's fiction hard to follow right now (well, it always has been, but it happens to be worse than before for me right now). I haven't actually played the the game for over a year (for a variety of reasons). I still enjoy the forums for a sense of friendship and camraderie. I don't really get that from you though. Besides my earlier post was not speculation (which implies a belief that there is some actual likelyhood of something happening), and more just random baseless "what if" debate just for the sake of having something to talk about. The forums have been a bit quiet lately, and as previously mentioned I was bored. Maybe every suggestion I made may have had less than 0% probability of actually happening, I don't know; but hey, a small handfull of forumites seem to have seen fit to join in the discussion, and I enjoyed reading their posts. I like you... Anyway Khador might want to stop associating with crazy old women who awaken Menoths prisoners. Though I just had a crazy idea Stolen Man o War horse for Ashlynn I've found some of the PP fiction hard to get into. So there's that too
