So I finally decided to bite the bullet and try out the really uninspiring Baldur2 that seems to light up so many people's underwear. I tried to make it interesting by including some shooting elements, with the following:
B2 Wrath Wyrd Guardian Meggie shifting stones Fulcrum 2 x free blackclad wayfarers 2 x free stoneshapers
The list plays well (even though in three ranged attacks the Wrath managed to do precisely one damage at dice off 5...), but I have a more important question. What do you take in order to stay awake while playing Baldur?
I have never played a caster this boring before. Over three factions and almost 40 casters, this is by far the dullest thing to ever hit the table. He makes MKII pSkarre look interesting.
What to do? Do you just snort lines of coke at the table to pass the time? Maybe do your hearthstone dailies?
How does the general community keep themselves awake while playing this ultimate snoozefest of a caster?

He is very static, true but perhaps I don't see the best path within the narrow path he walks as fast as you... What I don't like is that you have VERY limited ability to remove problems from the table and ofc a poorly worded rulling that they refuse to fix turns blessed into a 100% counter.

The only thing I've found in his kit that is interesting is the wall plus shifting stones can make for some really hard to overcome denial, especially on feat turn. Would like to fit in a second unit of stones into that list, but I'm not prepared to drop Meggie and I prefer real stats to the craptastic statline of the warden.
Thankfully I don't face much blessed outside of Menoth since I'm the only Grymkin player locally and our other Legion players are all on parenthood breaks (incidentally, children really suck the life out of a gaming meta. Someone should do something about that).

incidentally, children really suck the life out of a gaming meta. Someone should do something about that I use to meet up with the guy from our meta that currently got a child and visit him at home late in the evening to play some games. Works fine!

Hehe.
I'm doing it the other way around - I've set up a gaming venue at home and host weekly gaming nights. Still it's harder to get folks to come over when they have newborns. Should be laws against that kind of poor priorities.

There is a way to find the list you posted interesting. And it's playing with B2 double wrath once. After that, your list would feel sparkling and wild
