Game Tonight! (Call of The Wild suggestions/list help)

The only problem I see with the list is that you'll have to offer up something to initiate the piece trading since you're unlikely to out threat your opponents. This will typically be the scarsfell since you can leave him up front with dodge up and maybe he survives. If your opponent has a good answer to the scarsfell then you start trading down very quickly as the rest of your list is composed of very expensive pieces. I would try to rework the b-group a little bit to work in a few more trade initiation pieces.

Assuming that "warpwolf" means stalker I'd probably change this way:

I don't see Gehtorix's +1 hitting power bringing that much extra to the table and the extra stalker will help you preserve your heavy hitters better. The additional scarsfells allow you trade better and the LotF provides a back line harassment tool and flag holder.

i used the original list i posted due to not having more than one of each wolf. and not having LoTF.

it came down to my caster and his widomakers, the ranged unit, a jack and vlad at the end. it was 5 to 6 pts. ended on the top of 7.

its been a while since i played like stated above. there was a couple of forests on my side. a house near the right zone, a wall near the left zone. a hill on his side on my left.

played recon 2? the one with 2 zones for jacks/beast, 2 flags and 2 objectives.

his widowmakers picked out the wilder real early.

i feel like i could have sat on my flag with k2 and just kept the zone clear. making him go to the other. he cleared my objective quickly. i should have used the house to divide his force.

there was a turn where he couldnt roll under a 10 for damage. there is only so much you can do with that.

meh. i learn.

I play a similar list and feel that Gethorix is the allstar. He hits more precisely than a Stalker, he hits (a little) harder than a stalker, but he outthreats the stalker by far with overtake (bond with kromac), which is really good in a list that short of threatranges! Also when leaving him in front under feat he becomes a def 14, arm 21, 30 boxes beast that typically needs a lot of resources to be remove. Also he is the answer to any kind of heavy infantry, relayable killing 4-6 models (hello stormlances).

Removing the second wayfarer seems also a bit risky to me, too. Losing both the wayfarers might leave you in a rough spot. I think I would rather replace a unit of shifting stones.

The second Ferral has 2 reasons: To crack heavy armour we need primal, which is harder to deny with 2 sources (had games that were all about killing wayfarers and ferrals). The second reason is that I want my battlegroup to exactly hit 100 points. That way I can get 4 free pieces and add a second unit of shifting stones.

The 2 goats are only to offer the already mentioned piecetrades while both have a nice gimmic (counterslam something when my opponent does not think about it or jump at a caster that does not expect it), primal + carnage make the throw chainattack really reliable.

Haven't played too many games with it yet, and can't really say how it performs in general since I lose most of my games due to playing mistakes anyway.
Probably you are right. The plan is to mix it up with an infantry list (Krueger 2 - Devourers host) to cover matchups with infantry/shooting. But like I said I'm not expierenced and my entire setup might just be doomed to lose every game.

If it felt like I was proposing the list as the ultimate answer I am sorry. I thought this threat was a good place to discuss it.

Does the list you posted fix these problems? I might give it a shot.

Reading your post I'm guessing my writing style is more aggressive than intend it to be.  My apologies for that.

Honestly speaking I don't really like the list I posted that much either.  I'm not a big fan of call of the wild unless its with casters that can let you close the distance while keeping the beasts safe (Una2, Kaya3, Kaya2).  Part of my play style is that I hate giving away the first kill or hit to my opponent and prefer to dictate the pace of combat by ensuring that I can do that myself.  So for Kromac this would mean playing in Devourer's or Wild Hunt and using the terrain or a very disposable infantry group to lead with.

The inclusion of the scarsfells is just another way of expressing that play style since they give shooting lists problems and tend to dodge away from the chaff that usually leads an enemies charge.  

I guess that's a long winded way yes I do think my list is better and yes this is fine place to discuss your list
