Siege 2 > Stryker 2
both are competent melee fighters, siege can't spike damage to absurd levels but he is still strong with a solid TR. His feat usually better much more versatile and is a real threat extender when you need it. Damage buff isn't tied to endangering a warjack and activating 2 units/models to effectively give to buff to just one. He misses decel a lot, but you can't have it all. The hill is pretty solid anyway ad triumph is an awesome character jack, better than Ol Rowdy i'd say. Also, awesome in gravediggers.

Even if it may be true, what a strange world we live in when triumph is considered a better character jcak then Ole Rowdy...
Mk2 me refuses to believe.

So it seems like the consensus is largely that Stryker 2 can bring anything, as the end goal is to ultimately be able to close in for the assassination? Does he make a fairly good all-comers 2nd list, to plug whatever holes are in your primary list? Or do you find yourself having to build around him?

Does he make a fairly good all-comers 2nd list, to plug whatever holes are in your primary list? Or do you find yourself having to build around him? I think Stryker2 always wants assassination on the table as an option, on a fairly average day he can take out most Warcasters in a single hit. Even if you're playing for scenario, if things happen to go south, just being able to reach out and crush someone from 17" keeps you in the game in a way that few other 'Casters can, especially since it's not reliant on using a Feat. I had Stryker2 on the table this week with a fairly middling HM list into Kaelyssa in the Dawnguard theme. My right flank went to pieces pretty quickly (Thanks, Disruptor Bolt!) and this was not a list I'd really play into Ret (I'd played the same guy within the last couple of weeks, so didn't want to put down the same Kraye list). Kaelyssa was pretty safe behind the corner of a building while Stryker was tacking to my left to get away from my collapsing right flank and maybe score on the left zone. I then see Kaelyssa is within 17" of Stryker, even with a forest in the way. Runewood throws out Pathfinder, Stryker velocities to get a charge angle, screams past the building, gets to P+S28, misses a boosted charge attack, then kills Kaelyssa with another fully boosted swing. (I still like Runewood as an option since Path to Victory makes that sort of run even better if you can get it)
