Nice, now B13 start to have sense into SoT. I would have preferred to have TS only on Lynch with flare shot. Not only it would have been more fluff-coherent (the only one with TS in the story was him), but also would make B13 useful for others instead of being just pricey killers. That said, pricey killers able to do their work most times (TS) is still something useful, so glad of it. What really makes me sad are Blazers... They really should have extended Pistoleer to them too... Blazers are fine, their speed and independence are great in SR17 I have found

pistoleer on the murder ponies would have been very strong. possibly too strong. they still have a their place in SoT.

PP seem to be trying to reduce the differentiation between identically equipped models in their character units. It's not universal, but character units seem increasingly to have the same general rules across all models, and only special rules related to visible equipment (spell-casting models appear to be the exception - see Blackfrost Shard and Withershadow Combine). I like this as it means their rules design supports the conversion policy. As for Blazers, pistoleer + Brutal Damage (rather than Crit brutal), combined with their speed would have been terrifying, and probably would have encouraged people to use them as shock melee models against medium infantry/lights, which doesn't seem to fit the fluff.

Pistoleer + Brutal + Scaling damage, on an unit that did almost the same number of attacks for almost half the price (B13), not only was ok, but actually was still underpowered (and in fact B13 got double-buffed). I don't think that it would have been that over the line on Blazers. Blazers still cost almost 4 point each. Doing 10+4d6 charge damage isn't that special, most of our melee unit (that cost half as much) can reach a similar level of damage. Expecially considering that Blazers can't use their mount in melee or do impact attacks if they want to use their guns, again, I don't think it would have been that special. It would have been nice, but I think people would have still used those costly skirmishers as skirmishers, and pistoleer would have become a last resort much more than the main tactic.
