Okay, so have been playing (and enjoying) the following list in LoS: Zerkova1 -Conquest Min Battle mechanics Max Pikemen + UA Max Pikemen + UA OK Bears Min Uhlans 2x Kovnik Markov
Freebies cut it down to 75 points.
It can handle a fair variety of lists -Zerkova really is stronger than she looks on paper at first sight-.
I have been entertaining the thought of dropping to double destroyers but the lack of Conquests board control hurts the list too much IMHO.
So what should I pair it with? I have considered a Malakov2 or Harkevich list -double cloud wall Firetruckery but it's unllikely my opponents will have a list that can deal with that and be good at mauling dudes and 'jacks alike. Just need to dodge Legion I guess :v
But I am open to suggestions.

I think there is no reason for 1 Kovnik not to be a Ragman.
As far as pair goes LegoS loses hard to infantry cleaners like Nemo, TEPs, Thrones, Affliction, high pow sprays, etc. So your second list needs to be jacks (or mows if you're into that) to at least create a list chicken and not lose straight away.
I don't think cloudwall jacks is a good idea. If opponent has anti cloud he's very safe and if he doesn't he would be uneasy even against 1 cloud in pair. Karchev or B3 with pure jackspam is the way to go.

I have yet to play Zerkova 1, though I have been thinking about a very similar list, and I think the idea is actually to have Conquest hold down one flank and have your pikemen behind clouds on the other. At least that is how I have been thinking I would go about it but would love to hear thoughts from people who have played the list.

conquest can protect your pikeman with barage and he can shot far enought to be safe and he dont need that much focus and she need alot of them she cant spare too much

I could drop the mechanics (currently on point down) but... Eh.

why the conquest though, it gives your opponent somethin to aim at threw the clouds. Supression fire, the ability to play in a way involving sending my dudes after whatever can kill Conquest and then running wild with it. I have entertained the thought of ignoring ranged presence altogether and just run two juggers and a marauder and be done with it but meh. 'Jack wall it is. As for the cloudwall; in Malakov's case it would be unintantionally possible, (Veil, cycle Tac Sup); it's not like Kodiaks are shit. But I can't really adequately protect him and Malakov is quite vulnerable. So Hark, B3 or Karchev.

Oh, I thought it was max Uhlans. Whatever, with Conquest you probably should be okay without Ragman.

What Zerkova lacks is armour cracking...yep, funny. So I would look either jack heavy anti-armour or vlad's gunline as a second list.

It can deal with a modest amount of armor, but you can overwhelm it if you tailor your list towards it; it went through a Hydra and some Elephants, but it took some effort. And Several turns, although it was mostly the unit that ghost-walked ran through a house and locked down his entire flank that did it (GW synergizes nicely with the IF minifeat!)

I think there are two edges here. First - a lot of arm 20 boxes = problem. 2+ ARM 22 or above pieces = again a problem.

Got three games in so far, pairing with Sorscha1 -though I have only played Zerkova so far. First one was a narrow defeat against Scaverous. Second was a crushing win against Caine3 and last was a solid win over Gaspy3. Also an unfinished practice run against Goreshade2.
Typing this as I am waiting for a proper meal to arrive because screw junkfood.
Impressions now that I scraped a bit of rust off: list is really strong. As in holy shit does it take certain matchup, drags them behind the house and stabs them n the face with a blasting pike. Gaspy3 had a fair amount of armor but lol countercharge gtfo.
Everyone else had a good look at a cloudwall before getting kicked in the balls by her feat. After which angry men with exploding polearms ran wild.
Love the list, Z1 is stronk now.
