With theme list drop and less time to play I’m wondering what Ppl think are strong pairings (at least for this week). I’m wide open, a pairing of pKromac (call) and eKruger (bones) was proposed to me. What are y’all’s thoughts?

I think we can still count on the tried and true pairings of Baldur 2 and other caster...or Wumrwood and other caster,
Both are awesome gun-line counters and have a really strong game in SR2017. IMO you can pair them with most things. (with wurmwood you need an option into mage sight and or forest ignoring lists and with baldur you need an option for the lists with blessed or really high arm cracking.
It is really hard for me to peel away from either baldur 1 or wurmwood as one of the list in my pairing. I tend to regret not taking them for one reason or another when I play.
I am currently working on Kromac 1 in Wild hunt and Krueger 2 in bones but I do not know if I would pair them together. I need more games with kromac 1 before I decide what to pair with him. Bestial is just such a good spell in his kit. I am trying to really stress test it and see exactly where it is best applied and what match ups I need to build kromac for. He can bully the table with his natural 13" threat and mat 8 pow 14 will murder casters. (not even counting things like doppler bark and blessed) I really think he has a lot of potential in Call, and Wild hunt. Right now I am trying to leverage the tracker portion of wild hunt in tandem with the ambushing wolves. I think there is a lot of potential there.
Believe it or not circle does have a decent amount of options in pairings with all the new themes. I am thinking call of the wild specifically will be piloted by a decent number of casters for a while. There is also some potential in bones with the new wolds, Krueger 2, Baldur1, Tanith, the new Bradigus. Once the wold CiD drops I think people will really start experimenting with it.

Krueger 1 in devourer's host + your armor cracker of choice... preferably with a lot of stealth pieces.

How can I move Kromac over the warpath? "immediately after the attack is resolved one warbeast in the spellcaster’s battlegroup that is in its control range can advance up to 3˝" Kromac no warbeast.

pKromac bones and Bradigus bones. That's what I'd play, but the CID needs to come out first.

I'm all in on Kromac1 bones. His big issues have always been hitting power and an alllergy to guns, and bones gives you hard hitting beasts, shield guards and a forest wall.

Well that and sentry stones are amazing for triggering warpath. Once CiD drops I was actually considering the same. I just really want wild hunt to work with him. Its funny, I think with the CiD changes, wolds may have surpassed warpwolves in effectiveness. Nativ pathfinder, high pow, arguably better durability, and more utility.... What are your lists with him in bones?

For example like this; conflictchamber.com/#c8201b_-0p4q5K4QjwjF4H4Hg4g4g45g5gfF5e5e5f5fCircle Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] The Bones of Orboros !!! Your army contains CID entries. (Kromac 1) Kromac the Ravenous [+26] - Ghetorix [21] - Megalith [20] - Wold Wight [5] - Woldwarden [14] - Woldwyrd [9] - Woldwyrd [9] Blackclad Stoneshaper [0(3)] Blackclad Stoneshaper [3] Blackclad Stoneshaper [3] Blackclad Wayfarer [0(4)] Blackclad Wayfarer [0(4)] Swamp Gobber Chef [1] Sentry Stone & Mannikins [5] Sentry Stone & Mannikins [5] Shifting Stones [3] Shifting Stones [3] Ton of sprays, few shootings for Warpath, infantry clearing, makes Wyrds threat pretty far. Plenty of units and solos for scenarioplay, as well as spell denial. Some heavy lifting also, things to help with MAT etc. On paper I don't feel it lacks anything, but I should honestly test a fewty games before deciding if this is worth exploring further.

Looking st your bones list above , that seems way easier to trigger warpath. Especially since it’s friendly faction model, so ghetorix can kill 100 doods and only trigger warpath 1x.
What are ppl using for friendly faction to trigger warpath in call of the Wild.

What are ppl using for friendly faction to trigger warpath in call of the Wild. You can trigger warpath one time per attack... models with multiple attacks can trigger multiple warpath moves. Playing CotW with kromac1 is key aggressive positioning. You need to set the engage line very upfield. Forcing the opponent to give you valuable pieces or feeding you warpath triggers by contesting with chaff models. Usually your gameplan revolve on bruteforcing a flank pivoting around the middle los-blocking terrain.

Awesome thanks for the correction. I misread “destroys one more more enemy models”. So by aggressive positioning so you mean getting kromac in the mix and sprinting out (paying 1 for sprint )? How are ppl using kromac to mix it up? I assume in beast form or not at all. Beast form only seems viable on feat term Bc of losing upkeep’s.

Kromac play the support caster role. You want a pair of stalkers for yo-yo duty.
Kromac just cast bestial/wild aggression when needed and try to stay alive.
Stalkers are your working pieces.
