Gotta say I'm really looking forward to Company of Iron. I got a chance to play a demo at a con a couple weeks back and it was pretty sweet. Been building lists (sort of) in War room ever since. My favorites so far are a Gun mage strike team and a Tharn hunting party.
What are you looking to try out in the Iron Company?

I'm waiting for it too. Made a lot of lists in warroom (thamarite cult, cygnaran research team of Stormsmith and Arlan with a Minutemen, Mafia-style Kayazy lists, a renegade mage guild of Thorn gunmages and tactical arcanist corps, a Retribution rock-band called "Sons of Nyrro" containing an Artificer as the vocalist, Narn as the Drummer, and a Magister proxied by Sylys as the guitarist, and their trusty Gorgon jack called "Roadie", etc.)Our meta here became very tournament-centric in the last years, and I don't like that very much. Maybe this will bring up the urge in some people to do again some beer and pretzel matches with our favourite units.

I just got the cards from DriveThruRPG delivered yesterday along with an entire horde. I'm going to run a Mobius Commander, a Bloat Thrall Lieutenant, a full unit of Mechanitrhalls, two Brutes, and three scrap Thralls for basically a post-apocalyptic horror game. Little zombies, big zombies, exploding zombies, vomit zombies, I'm so excited.

OFF: You should call them "Undeads with benefits".

So basically: Everything in your team dies to every random attack, but half of them explode and take out the attacker anyway? Sounds like a plan

I'm super excited about this game coming out- I'm already picking out things from armies I don't play just so I can make small little warbands for this game. I can't wait!

So basically: Everything in your team dies to every random attack, but half of them explode and take out the attacker anyway? Sounds like a plan And probably half of my team! It's gonna be great fun! So update, I played my first two games yesterday with the cards I got from DriveThruRPG using rules gleaned as best I could from the Youtube videos, and it's super sweet. Both time we just used a full hand of five cards, instead of guessing what the requisition costs would be. Scenario was the first one the PP guys played where they had to flip the token and find the right number, we labelled it 'valuable intel.' Unfortunately I couldn't use the Thralls yet, they have no paint on them. Sad days Instead, I used my Homeland Heretic Hunters made up of a Reclaimer marshalling a Repenter, 4 Choir, and a unit of Knights Exemplar. First game I played into a Retribution Death Squad made up of Mage Hunter Strike Force and Dawnguard Sentinels lead by a MH Assassin. My jack died pretty quickly to the MHSF, and I lost three of my Knights on my first three casualty rolls, but the Choir did a surprising of work after I played a card that effective gave gang to Warriors in my control range. The Sentinels managed to uncover a marker, but it wasn't the right one! The game slowly tilted into my favor after a Knight Exemplar did some hardcore parkour off a bridge and slew the Assassin. Second game was against a Skinwalker Pack: three Skinwalkers, a Gorax, a Reeve hunter solo lead by a Skinwalker Alpha. This game was really grindy as the Skinwalkers are incredibly powerful between Unyielding, Hyper-Regen, and 8 damage boxes. It was a surprisingly close game, but I was eventually ground down after losing my jack to a 5-dice charge (additional damage die card was played) from the Reeve. I may have been able to push for the clock out as I think this scenario normally has a turn limit, but I was unsure of what it was so we just played til the death. Overall, I thought this game was super fun! I'm excited for the official release, I really want to see the new ruleset. Some of the rules that we weren't sure of how they translated were just made up on the spot, and like I said earlier, we didn't use requisition costs. This probably skewed the game a little, but definitely made it play faster as we could boost and re-roll with some serious frequency. So: full steam ahead on the Zombie Horde! I'm going to try to have at least my basecoats down and the Mobius fully painted for next week (maybe we can try them out), and the crew fully painted for the full release!

I wanna try the most vanilla force available: 20 Steelheads, half of them with rifles.
