I don't like saying things like this, but I think the problem with your Secret Masters list is that it's Secret Masters. Blackclads are all well and good, but they are mostly support models. You can't build a coherent army out of nothing but support models. If you try to get around this by investing heavily into your battegroup you can construct a perfectly good list, but at that point why are you even bothering with Secret Masters? If you're looking for an anti-infantry list that is resilient to shooting I would suggest looking towards either of the Kreugers plus infantry or Badlur2 with Fulcrums. This is also my issue with the theme. At what point do you just say "f it" and play one of our other much better themes. Taking the fulcrum? Why not play bones and get sentry stones too? Need a merc minion unit/solo? Literally play any other theme. Nothing makes secret masters unique or interesting outside of self sac which is almost impossible to leverage due to limited options and poor unit choices that are expensive and the fact that you need a big battlegroup to actually get work done which conflicts with free points and makes the theme benefit less useful. I want it to work. But the theme almost seems like it is very incomplete and it does not offer anything special. I still want to try it though. It is always worth putting something on the table to test it out.
